good price

they have them most of the time in poundland for £1 duh for

pack of 10 AA
pack of 10 AAA

It's a 12 pack at poundland + they're Zinc, which means they're not compatible with all appliances

neither, lol

I was just pointing out to the post above mine that it was a 12 pack in Poundland and not 10 as he mentioned. My main point however, whilst it's a very good price, being a Zinc battery is a letdown, as it's not very good with a number of appliances

The Kodaks that Poundland sell are good for about 4 photos with a digital Camera before they report low battery and another 2 or 3 before they give up.

Fine for running a clock or something - but buyer be very aware.

yea my local bandm sells the 12 packs of kodaks....i dont think there original kodaks so how do they get away with selling them...

Not all Kodak batteries at Poundland are Zinc!!

I always get my Kodak AAs for my dSLRs at Poundland. Yes the majority of the packs of batteries are Zinc Chloride, but I only ever buy the Alkaline versions. They always have a few packs in, so I stock up on them - 4 packs at a time, and they last ages! If the Tesco ones are Alkaline, I need to take a quick trip to my local store.

the 12 pack @ poundland are zinc. They have a 6 pack of alkaline ones.

Cheaper than £-land , thanks

Why don't you just buy a set of rechargeable AAs and then you'll never need to troll down to Poundland again? :?

they have been in my cam for a while and i take lots of pics and they seem to be fine

But why do you chuck huge amounts of money down the drain by using disposables in a camera? It just doesn't compute, considering that you must be savvy about saving money or you wouldn't be on this site.

I just checked mine and they are 8 packs. Not as many as I'd said previously, but considering they last about 10 times longer than ZC, they are worth a quid!

Simply convenience. I have plenty of rechargeables - 2400mAH ones at that, but I never seem to have time to chuck them on charge and make sure they're all done*. buying an 8 pack of alkalines means my flash costs me 50p (this is not a huge amount) per wedding to run.

*this isn't all the time, some days I'll think to do it, but those days are rare - I also don't like leaving chargers running while I'm out the house, which I would have to do to charge them all up.

I note your concern, but I would have absolutely no qualms about leaving slow chargers running unattended - they generate very little heat and would be no more worrisome than a mobile phone charger. You can always put your chargers on non-flammable surfaces for extra peace of mind. And then you're using a small fraction of the resources, and not dumping lots of nasty chemicals into landfill, compared with using disposables.
