I saw this in my inbox and while you were busy posting the deal, I was busy snapping up already less-than-face-value giftcards with 10% off

I disagree. Using the word "beaten" is accurate as that is how HUKD operates. They delete a deal posting, even if it was submitted only very slightly later, regardless of the quality or accuracy.

It shows a favouring of speed over quality, which potentially is a loss for us users.

Notice also that despite having 38 likes, his post is not featured in the "Top Comments" section....

That’s what I’m wondering/hoping

Yes it will. Go careful though....if the best offer is accepted OUTSIDE of the promotion, youll be committed to that price without the voucher. If it is accepted, make sure you pay inside of the promotion timetoo.

Best way to do best offer is to message the seller, agree the price and ask if they are in a position to accept the offer immediately. Do not just make an offer without knowing if they are available to accept first.

It was stuck in moderation during my posting. So fair enough. Annoying that there is this loop hole where you can spend good time posting a deal correctly, and you are still beaten by an incomplete deal with an incorrect link.....even more annoying when that same deal is moderated and approved for site posting, despite the issues.Moral of the story...post any old thing up to get there first, and dont worry about the quality. Like mentioned before, by one of my fellow users, you snooze you lose. However, i cannot be the only one who prefers quality sleep.

If it's any consolation, I also posted the deal, shortly after apparently. So, if Szr_Jr hadn't beaten to you to it, I would have done

Either way, we've both missed out!!

Let's not fool ourselves, we all know eBay deals get a lot of heat. Would OP be that bothered if it was a deal for a pair of curling tongs?

Being beaten only matters when there is a race. If someone posts a deal before you but yours has more information, why not put your information in their thread? Oh that's right, because you don't benefit as much.

I see their point. You spend ages writing up a deal properly and researching it only for someone else to post it faster and get the credit. Yes, the credit matters or ‘internet points’ otherwise why even bother - don’t we all post comments for appreciation and a little respect from others?

Though this is why I don’t post popular deals any more (eg loyalty freebies/deals, MyMemory newsletter deals, eBay etc), only really niche ones that I’ve just found and haven’t been posted. You can’t judge the other person for that and actually it leads to rushed posts.

But I fail to see where the time is being spent in writing a deal like this? People only need the code, any restrictions and an expiry date. This really is nothing more than someone being pipped to the post and spitting their dummy out.
Save 100% by not buying anything
While 10% off sitewide is great that minimum spend is ridiculous. Having said that I welcome anyone who wants to buy over £100 worth of my items and save

Well if they want to take their time to do it properly then you can’t judge them. Otherwise this might as well be a voucher codes site... Pepper Experts spend ages writing deals up properly. People take their time because it saves questions later. If you don’t agree fine but you can’t/shouldn’t judge someone else...
Would this work to buy 500£ in vouchers? Looking to buy a new iphone soon so trying to see if this would be £50 off (net)
Already bought a Switch but so tempted by a GTX 1080ti for £270 used.
Hi - can anyone confirm if this works on a total spend of £100+ across multiple sellers? I.e. if I buy one item@ £80 from one seller and one @£25 from another, but check out at the same time?

I saw that card too. Can't buy it for some reason. Either too much strain, or PP/Ebay doesn't like me spending almsot £300 on anything. Tried card, bank balance, card connected to PP, everything.

Tried another account. Looks like it's getting hit from every angle. Probably have to give up on this one. There's probably some internal chain, and they'll give it to the first guy who tried to buy, or whoever buys it after everyone backs off. Reminds me of the time when Corsair was selling their £150 keyboards for £25.

Edit: it's a scam. The pictures are grabbed from here: ebay.co.uk/itm…mmv

I decided against it purely for the reason that I bought a Switch last night for £173 used.

God knows how long I will spend playing on the Switch, I haven't owned a Nintendo console since the Gamecube. Could be 6 months, which is a long time in PC land, price wise.

Looked in great nick from the photos but haven't bought any games yet though, don't want to jinx myself until it arrives.

Pointless spending money on a gfx card I won't use right now, despite how good the deal is.

Good choice. I've still got a 3DS and PS3 lying around with games I haven't opened. I was contemplating a 5700 or 2060 Super, and this deal was too good to pass up. I mean, look at those numbers, it's ridiculous: techspot.com/rev…xt/

But it tripped 2 of my 3 red flags: (1) account dormant for months/years, then suddenly starts selling (sign of a hacked account) (2) stolen pictures (reverse-image search on Google reveals all) (3) price too good, but noone's bought it yet (not for lack of trying, PP's probably blocking it).
