927 in stock.

don't buy these. u can only go up to 13amp for all 10 sockets anyway. dangerous if even a few high powered items plugged in.

bought, thanks

there's a 13 amp fuse in the plughead, protecting the components of this item, which will be rated at 13a or greater. how is this dangerous

Not a safe item to buy. I bought this thinking it would be a decent item, its not. Everytime you plug something in you get such a spark coming out and when things are plugged in, on occassions you can hear a static sound. Definitely would not recommend.

This can happen on any live socket. the safest way to plug things in (and remove plugs) on an extension like this is with the wall switch off and only switch it on when you have all the things in you want.

Though quite why you need to be changing plugs around with 10 sockets available is puzzling, surely this is exactly the kind of thing a multi socket extension like this is supposed to avoid?

It has been discussed before, I don't know if anyone tried using it for other purposes but I did suggest at the time that they NOT have it plugged in if they did.

Thanks, good post - nice little trick there.

I think some forum software automatically does it if a post is entered in block caps.

If not, then someone has got too much time on their hands.

I wish I was your age again, how's Pikachu doing?

which one transformers? optimum prime?

Voted hot. Picked up similar 10 way tower extension with angled sockets for £7.99 from B&M Bargains 2-3 months back, think it was badged as Ever Ready. Stuck behind the TV with 9 sockets used and doing the trick quite nicely. Having the angled sockets means you can use all of them, couldn't use 1 of the 8 sockets on a traditional extension due to having oversized HDD adaptor connected, although it did have individual on/off switches for each plug which would of been nice on the 10 way tower.

Can't have everything I suppose

Heat added and ordered 2, Thanks for the post

Me too!!

Have had towers before but always seem to topple over, the bases are just not weighted enough

As long as these are not used for high powered equipment they are perfectly safe and would easily supply most computer systems and accessories. They are not meant for supplying domestic appliances and only the more expensive type (making an assumption here because of price) would be suitable for use where a lot of plugging/unplugging would be required.

Referring to time current characteristics in BS7671 the fuse will run all day at 20amps which is not advisable, even at 50amps the fuse will last around 11 seconds. That's enough time for things to get very hot and potentially catch fire.

GREAT DEAL! Thanks for posting.

you'd have to have the washer, dryer, kettle and dishwasher all running at full throttle to get 50 amps through this.

and that would make you incredibly stupid

Looks like a good deal. However just some feedback that the description is not very good at all, far too long and it is difficult to read. Thanks for your time and effort though

RuudBullit

Yep, that's my point, don't get one of these and stop making it easy for stupid people to overload sockets.
