On my rewards card - spend £50+ and receive 10% cashback.

I used it in-store today to buy a £50 amazon gift card and received an email confirming I've triggered the offer. They sell other gift cards in-store.

OFFER DETAILS:

Save to Card to get a 10% statement credit on an eligible transaction of £50+ in participating store(s) and online at Morrisons by 8/5/2019. Valid every time for the first 20,000 Cardmembers to save. Terms, location & payment restrictions apply.

Ha! It was on my Platinum cashback credit card before Christmas and I absolutely hammered it, the offer is not on that card this time
Not on mine either, but great for those that do have it. I got about 2 grands worth of various gift cards when this was on last time.
Not for me either, in fact offers from AMEX on my card are almost non existent these days, sometimes none at all and the ones that do crop up are next to useless.

After 18 years with 'em I think it's time for me to move on..........
Only problem last time for me was the two local Morrisons sold out of Amazon Gift cards and didn't restock while the offer was on, will check to see if I'm eligible this time and get around to Morrisons quick!

Just checked on my Blue card, just restaurants and wine! Arggghhhh

Not on my card either? Can anyone else confirm if they have got this offer
I have the offer on 2 different cards but as with so many Amex offers it cannot be used in Northern Ireland where there are no Morrison stores!
Not on my card, just the usual very sad parade of restaurant chains, wine retailers and hotels that would top my list of appropriate venues if I ever felt like going through the 'goodbye cruel world' routine. I think Amex have me profiled as an overweight sot with depressive tendencies.
Not on my Nectar AMEX either
Not on mine

0.5% JL vs 1.25% Amex
My 2nd best was amazon one where amex is not acceptable but shame as they are reducing rate to 0.25% from May.
I will wait for Apple credit card before ditching amazon 😁
Got it on my red card, thanks for the heads up.

Used last year but on other cards and it's not returned on those.
Had this before Christmas, not this time.
Awww, not on mine.

Utterly abused this last time, made over £600.

Buy the visa or mastercard gift cards (don't do more than 5 at a time), costs £103.95 for a £100 card. You then get £10.30 cashback plus morrisons points. You'll need a partner/wife/friend you trust. First activate the card (fake details are fine to get over thelimit), then add a card to paypal, make sure your paypal balance is 0. Gift £100 to wifes paypal account. Ask her to either gift back or withdraw to her account, and then beg her to pay it back to you.

I spent around £10k at xmas, £6 profit per card. Takes 2 mins to activate and add to paypal. Tip is increase your credit limit or remember to clear balance regularly
Not on mine.

My second best card is a Tandem cashback... 0.5% where Amex not accepted.

Why the five card limit?
I don’t have it on 2plat, BA premium and Costco
And yes I used a lot last time....with Morrison card promo

Why the five card limit?

Buying that many visa gift cards could flag up as suspicious, money laundering, stolen credit card etc

Same, they must know we had it previously
It does, sadly, say the following in the T&C's:

  • transactions where you buy a gift card, store credit or a voucher.
Bizarrely this has appeared in my wife's Amex offers but not on mine. Possibly because I have already shipped at Morrisons in the past week or two?

It worked fine for me last time buying Amazon and John Lewis gift cards.
Do we have someone who used this offer last time & got again ?
I don’t think so but interested to know

Nice loop hole but unacceptable for my line of business. Ive done something more... legit in the past. loopholes like that 16% ROI 6% in clubcard points and £10 argos voucher per £100 of gift cards bought in tesco for argos. That could be accounted for by my accountant.

Anyway, shouldn’t reveal too much. Friendly warning, there’s a clause in the T&C which say’s they can take it back which will put you out of pocket negative 3.95%.

Not yet, but then again all my transactions from the (Bank Holiday) weekend are still showing as pending, I'm expecting it to be credited but will update when it does.
