Lidl have charcoal briquettes 5 kg at £2.99. Currently there are bags with 40% extra free - 7 kg for £2. The 99. My local store (Pitsea) has 2 bags for the price of 1 so I just picked up 14kg for £2.99. I have no idea if this is at other stores so may be worth calling yours.

I've found the chimney starter indispensable fir getting things started everytime with no restarts. The weber ones cost £20+ so it's a bargain
Bought 2 5kg bags for £5.98 in Lidl Leicester so not national
Not on offer in Tottenham Hale

Not a fetish of mine, but what do these smell like? I got a bag from Aldi last year and used some yesterday - in my Weber chimney starter it took coals longer than expected to turn grey and it really smelt bad (not chemical, just stink)

Aldi has it for same price.

Not voting either way.

Kindest regards
I'll pop in at lunch tomorrow

Is that correct - 2 for 1 at Aldi as well - 14kg for £2.99?

Snap. We did too. Missus wouldn’t put the food on and accused me of using bizarre accelerants.
