Cheers, ordered another 3. They always come in handy.
Got 5 plugged in my room at the moment
Way too many electronics I know.
I'd probably die if I had to become Amish.

Yes you need them these days, with all the stuff behind the TV, Shield, Switch, Youview, PS4, Xbox One, Chargers etc.....

'FireOnWire' as your username, avatar looks like it's on fire and you've a lot of devices pulling power from the same room.

Feels like your tempting fate a little here mate. Be safe
Plug into a surge protected adapter and it's all good

All devices are pretty low wattage and if not will have their own wall socket.

No danger
I might be insane but I'm not crazy
Handy to have nowadays, good fin
Just to warn you the surge protection on 2 of mine failed within 3 months.
I had one of these just over 12 months it kept tripping the main fuse box everytime i switched the power off to the extension wire.

I've 4 of these and never had a problem... maybe you were overloading it? Heaters? etc?....

But there's no surge protection mentioned on this model?
I don't see where the neon comes in? Do these glow?
Yeah, where's the neon?
Great find. Bought two. Always handy to have extra spare sockets.

Yeah, where's the neon?

Just received my 2.
Neon is near the cable entry. Red neon/led lights when plugged in.

Aren't you a clever cookie
Surge protection is only really handy if you live in an area prone to spikes in the power supply coming into your home, that's usually homes with outside power lines feeding the house, especially villages etc. It won't hurt having surge protection of course but I think people assume it protects you from all sorts of problems and most home electronics with perhaps the exception of a vacuum cleaner rarely cause any real surge and even then that really only applies if the vacuum cleaner is plugged in next to your other sensitive electronics.

Can't help feeling like you've completely undermined your point here.. most people have vacuum cleaners which might be plugged into any available socket, on a regular basis.
