I'm sure it's not, but you failed to mention that in your post 'well expensive'.
Bought one last time it was posted. Worth the buy for sure. Haven't seen any better for the price. Contemplating buying another for the living room but they always seem to have these in stock so I'll not worry too much!
Hot. Always wanted a 10-way.
Why has nobody ever made a 10 way individually switched?.
pants2 h, 9 m ago

They do an Eight-Way individually switched off that's any use.

Think he meant 10-way tower. This one you posted ain't half bad with a 5m cable, most don't have 5m usually around 2-3m. I might bite at this unless I can find a 6-8way switched tower.
BTW, heat for the post OP. Although it's standard price, but many may not be aware.
Bought for my son at Uni. Thanks very much.
This looks like a great deal. Apologies if this is a silly question, but I thought the maximum load on a single socket (i.e. the socket that you would plug this unit into) was 13amp. So if this is a 10x 13amp, then if you really loaded this up, couldn't it cause some kind of risk/hazard?

I would assume 13amp is max across everything plugged in so you may have a problem if you plug 8 tumble dryers in although if its items that use less electric it wouldn't be an issue (ie hifi seperates)

for instance my new 49" Tv uses 8 watts an hour (15p a KW suggests I'd get 125 hours of TV for 15p electric)
Now plug in a Hairdryer and it uses c. 1200 watts (18p for an hour)

Purchased, thanks. However also ended up spending money on something else that I never knew I needed!

CPCs like that
Thanks
good quality product, ordered 2.
Note that the "clamping voltage" for this is 750V which is about 300V too high to be of any use for protecting 90% of household electronics.
Bloody dangerous!
I bought the exact same one about 4 years ago for DVD player, console, etc..still going strong.
4277 in stock so no rush but well pointed out OP.

Just be aware of what you are plugging into it and should be fine. No banks of heaters, multiple toasters, hair tongs or soldering irons!!

How much power does each one draw. This can handle roughly 3000W total. You can find out by looking at the stickers on the back of each item.

Those will probably be 200, 50, 50, 50 and therefore you will be fine.
Good deal

Why has nobody ever made a 10 way individually switched?.

I would imagine if using all ten sockets you would want all the wires and 10way hidden so would make it difficult to switch. Just guessing.

How ?

I know. it's for tv's and low power stuff. You'd be daft to plug tumble drier washing machine 3kw heater etc etc in. Lol
very fast delivery, took about a day so thats cool. I think I will be looking into this company for more stuff in the future.
