Ok here goes taking a risk as its spread betting..... BUT I have just done this as a novice and withdrawn over £140 profit.
Follow the link and sign up for an account. ENSURE you choose a deposit account and not a credit account. This means that your losses cannot exceed your free £100, if you choose a credit account and make a mistake on a silly bet (easy if you don't do a little research) you could end up owing money!
After 7 days they take away the £100, anything left is yours to keep betting with or withdraw. The only annoying thing is having to ring 0800 number to make your first withdrawal, I have just done this and withdrawn over £100 no problems and kept a little for betting later.

I made a couple of big errors i.e. betting on basketball and ending up winning over £200 on one £5 bet only to lose most of it again on another £5 bet. You are effectively betting on how good or bad the outcome of the bet is so there is no limit so I stuck to football and went with goals.

For example if total goals market for a game is 3 goals you can either buy (effectively say over 3 goals) or sell (under 3 goals). If you put a fiver on buy and it ended up 5-0 you would win £10 profit. If you put on sell you would be -£15.
Mistake I made was for example total points in basketball I bought (so predicted over) 200 points and did a tenner. Game ended up about 180 so my liability was 20 (the difference) times £10!

Hope this makes sense remember choose a deposit account and it wont let your liability bet past your free £100!

You will get £100 credited within 24 hours although mine was pretty much instant.

Keep well away from this unless you really know what you are doing.

Even though I've done lots of matched betting & used a lot of free bet credit I'm always very wary of spread betting.

How does that work in practice? I.e. if there was a sports match with a total market of 100 points would I not be allowed to buy at a price of more than £1 if I had credit of £100? (sorry if the above terminology doesn't make sense!)

Absolutely the wrong place here. You have kids on this site, not to mention people who wouldn't follow all the guidelines and hence mess things up for themselves. It may be a great deal to some, but definitely not for the masses.

Thanks for bringing that up in an old expired deal. Comparing the risks of games and nut allergies to the risks of spread betting?

'Deals' like this are, I repeat, not suitable for the masses. Post it on MSE forum or somewhere like that and you'll get credit.

whoa black betty bam-ba-lam !!

I'm lost!

Spread betting is so risky......Cold!!

Mugs' game!

£60 risk free profit!

Thanks to the OP for bringing this to my attention. The critics on here clearly don't understand that it is risk free as long as you choose a deposit account
