Frequently Asked Questions (Common questions before registration)
Is your hosting really free?Yes, you can host your website without having to pay. Ever.

What's the catch? How does InfinityFree make money?
We pay for it using ads and banner advertisements on our own website, client area, admin/control panel and forum. iFastNet, who maintain the hosting system, also install their own ads (for example the upgrade offers in the control panel). ... InfinityFree is completely paid for using the advertisements on our own website.
This is only applicable on the Admin/control panel, NOT ON YOUR WEB SITE.

3472700.jpg
How long does it takes to setup my account?
Forget about waiting lists, InfinityFree accounts are automatically created in minutes.

For how long is the free hosting valid?
InfinityFree is free forever! There is no time limit for free hosting. You can sign up whenever you want and use it for as long as you want! Some people have been hosting their websites with us for years, without ever paying anything!

Why do you provide free hosting?
InfinityFree provides free hosting, because we believe everyone should have the opportunity to build a presence online. Regardless of who you are, where you are and what your budget is, we believe you should be able to have a website.

Can I get a free subdomain?
You can use as many free subdomains, like yourname.epizy.com or yourname.rf.gd, as you want. All for free!

Can I host my own domains?
Yes, you can host your own domain name on InfinityFree. We don’t provide domain registration services ourselves, but can easily use your own domain registered elsewhere with us.

Will you put ads on my site?
Never! We earn enough using the ads on our main site and control panel to cover the costs of free hosting.

Is InfinityFree a demo, trial or sample for premium hosting?
Absolutely not! InfinityFree is fully featured, completely free website hosting. We provide promotional offers for alternative, premium services for people looking for more, but their services are very different. InfinityFree is not a representation of these offers.

Indeed, can't agree more... it just doesn't make sense, however having signed up with them it looks increadible!
I just cannot understand how they can sustain a business providing everything for FREE?
Anyone else spot something that I haven't?

Their name out there, genuine traffic to their domains, your website (files, content, metadata), your emails... Etc

They are not going to get enough profit form those places, so basically they are just making things up.
I’m looking for a place to create my phpBB forum, but I’ll suppose I would go to GCP or some other cloud. Maybe with this one you can make a test and see hire it looks before taking it to a more serious place

Usually they make money by upselling better packages, such as mailboxes or other services like SSL etc, so they can afford to host these for free
Everyone will jump on this and then the complaints will start.

Remember geocities ? (old school free web hosting years ago)
they're probably hoping you upgrade to some sort of premium service.
i'm sorry but I smell some BS here , there's no way it's truly unlimited bandwidth and unlimited disk. None.
you'll either be traffic shaped, or limited in port speed etc. I mean great, it's free that's fantastic , but don't tell me it's unlimited disk and bw otherwise i'm going to backup my 12TB NAS there .....

LOL these were my thoughts too! What’s stopping me from backing up my whole life on their servers? It’s all a bit odd.

Think there is a 10mb file size limit per file from a brief search in their community forum, but could be wrong.
ive tried many free web hosting over the years, for the same reasons I'm on this site. I'm skint.
infinity are one of the better free services I've used
this is good for a small business like cafe or butchers etc but web hosting is so cheap anyway for 6 quid a year you can have guaranteed uptime, bandwidth blah blah for hosting multiple sites.

Crazy eh,
I've been searching for the catch and been using them for months.....
Not found it yet, but I'd recommend backing up often as I cannot believe a business can sustain giving so much away for free with seemingly little return.

They are up front about how they generate revenue, it's similar to the business model Google use. As long as they have customers to share ads with there will be revenue...
I was an InfinityFree user, however they randomly kept taking my websites down and sending me an email saying:

Your account exceeded the daily limits of your service. InfinityFree monitors the CPU, memory and hits usage (among others) of your account and temporarily deactivates your website if the limit is hit.
Your account will be reactivated automatically after 24 hours.

So basically it's a great free service as a testing ground/limited traffic site, but you can't get much traffic to the service or play around too much or you'll exceed the unspecified limits - if it's important for the website to be up & available you'll need to pay.

If your new to wordpress look for a chap on youtube under the name of NYC tech club, he builds a website in real time with you. Most are an hour long but if your needing a shop it can be 3 hours long, but well worth a view to get you started.

A good one from for a singe page website was up loaded last week, just change the bits you dont need.
Stop waste your time with this offer. this company has a bad reputation and their business model is very suspicious. There is no such thing is free. if you are a beginner and you don't want to invest any money on your web server that is totally fine. you can subscribe one year free AWS or GOOGLE cloud.

I can't believe I missed both
I expect the cap on bandwidth is a about 1MB/sec so restricted for all but one visitor at a time with an acceptable browsing experience though painfully slow downloads.

Freemium web-hosting. Where's my bargepole.
