what does that mean?

Instead of the link being directly to Hardcloud, it goes via another website (or more than one). These other websites then get some money from Hardcloud for sending people to Hardcloud (or they might get a cut of any purchases that are eventually made). I assume they then give some, if not most, of this money to HotUKDeals, which is how the site makes money. This is an affiliate redirect system.

When you submit a deal with a URL link, HotUKDeals automatically adds the affiliate redirect as a matter of course. Dgoulston believed that the OP had added their own affiliate information, in this way they might make money themselves from people clicking the link.

If you have used Quidco, it's like that.
