With all the rain we having at the moment it is probably a good idea to own one of these.

This would probably pay for itself in the long run if you are on a water metre.

Metre is a unit of length. A device for measuring is a meter.

Water charges? oh thats right u guys pay for the stuff lol what a daft idea :p.

who r u the spelling police!

It's a great idea, since alot of hose-pipe bans will be coming into place this summer, due to the weird weather we've been having.

It's good advice, for someone who wishes to appear literate. There are people who deliberately use non-standard language, in order to appear streetwise or something, but the above is not one of their characteristic usages.

Vote cold, because...

... I like big butts, I cannot lie.

We have two of these linked together - because they take up less space means we can still squeeze the wheelie bin past so they're useful for tight spaces.

You other brothers can't deny! I own a big butt. It's got a big crack so suffers terrible leakage.
Time to replace it. I'm going to get me some slim butt lovin'!
thanks op

Good price. Got a Sankey one after Xmas same specs but dearer so hot from me!

Yes, and I'm the grammar police. You shouldn't be using an exclamation mark (!) at the end of a question!

Good price seeing as you also get the stand. Hot hot hot (as i also hope the summer will be for a change...)

Are you exempt or something?

For those of you who prefer the larger butt:

Argos and Homebase have 1/3 off the 210 litre butts also:

argos.co.uk/sta…htm

Argos: £33.29 was an optimistic £49.99 RRP

homebase.co.uk/web…304

Homebase: Now £33.29 was an optimistic £49.99 RRP
(Collect 68 Nectar points with this purchase to save a bit more)

Hope this helps...

If you prefer porky to slender, Wickes have 200 litre for £30

Ah but the 200L argos and homebase ones come with stand etc. So a better deal.

May well be if it's supplied via a well, lake or stream.

This is good as i was comparing them a few days ago. One from my local council website that they said had a discount on, and wilkinsons. wilkinsons was cheaper by about 50p!. So under £20 is good as it comes with the stand and the connector

Sounds a bit pervy . . . well slim so not too pervy lol. nice find heat added :P

looks like a cheap dalek!

Wilkinsons do a 120 litre for £17 here

trouble with these if you don't use the water frequently is that mosquitos breed!

Nice little device. Does anyone know how easy or not as the case may be it is to bring home in the car?

No stand or rain collector.

The lower outlet on my parents cheap council subsidised one broke but I never got it fixed due to the fact that I wasn't prepared to ask our local hardware store if they had any butt plugs oO

no thanks i have an outside tap

bought one last year from argos about the same price very good quality and fits in the car i put plant food in it and use it for the watering can saves a lot of time roll on summer

As the song goes "I like big butts and I cannot lie". Here's the YouTube video for your enjoyment - youtube.com/wat…Cug

I have one of these butts and made it work. It wasn't a great butt as you have to make your own holes in the butt and, initially, I got the height of the butt in relation to the downpipe valve wrong and it wouldn't work. But solved that. Also the top of the device had to be glued to seal it. In hindsight (hind, butt - gedditt?), I wouldn't purchase. But I have one now and it kinda works. It ain't that pretty.

You legend.

Think I got my water butt kit for a similar price from homebase when it was posted on here. This post has reminded me I need to install it quickly!

Thanks! Legends they are.. right have to stop the star wars references it's becoming a bit of a problem :P

I got the same one in my garage and i use it to run my powerwash, its cheaper than getting the water board to fit mains water (£1300 just to connect) all i do is take karcher nozzle off run its until it feeds water then nozzle on and im away, will run easily for over a hour, so not just a good idea for gardening, i did try it for my washing machine to clean my offroad mx gear but just not enough pressure for that, but ive since bought a electric pump to try and build the pressure for my offroad gear..(btw my garage is 2 miles from home) and i have two washing machines one is in garage..

Home base and Argos are same company!!!

Question for OP - what rain - I live in Somerset and we've basically just had a couple of showers.

Good find, don't forget 50p quidco

No just no water charges in Norn Iron ATM, long my it continue. The more we allow the government to **** our taxes up the wall the more they will continue to do it.
