First post but here we go!

Thought this looked like a good price to me for good quality DVD Media in the high street. I've found it slightly cheaper online (Amazon is £17.49 for example) but not in store

I bought some myself - these disks are made in Taiwan

You have to buy these in store to get this price otherwise you'll have to pay for delivery if you buy them online

Sorry dude, i know its your first post and im sorry

My local Tesco does 25 maxell DVD+ or - R for £3

They burn really well too

Basic math 100 for £12

I'm voting cold as I picked up a 100 pack ot Taiwan Verbatims DVD-R for £17 at Asda yesterday (on offer from the normal price of £20).

However, comparing them to Maxell DVD's, thats not really a fair comparison...Verbs (with the exception of the Indian Verbs) are much higher quality than Maxell's, except for the Taiyo Yuden Maxell's, which I don't think are available anymore.

so are these taiyo yudens?
i never did remember how to tell but i heard that for verbatims japan and taiwan are the ones to look for for quality.

edit: guess not from post above mine

WHSmiths also have the same offer on at 17.99 still a good price.

I am never sure why people worry about the quality of DVD's so much. Sure you have less risk of burning coasters but unless you using MR Data disks it is not normally a big problem. As for the life span of discs I have never actually had one fail over time on me. Some of my CD's are well over 10 years old and still work just as well as the first day I burnt them. Even with DVD's the cheap ones i bought 5 years ago are still fine.
