Claiming no waste with all that single use plastic is a bit rich - they should change that to no food waste
If you dont really need single serve dont buy them just because they are cheap. They are terrible for the environment.

Wow, there really is no excuse for someone to buy these in single use small packaging for personal use. Just totally lazy. Sorry , but from a moral stand point this deal is ice cold.

Cheaper to buy 5 jars of jam! But it's a good deal if you can use all the plastic...

But so is remelting glass, and then remelting it again to make the next item.....They should set on a standard and then reuse them when collected by the binmen.

If you buy hartleys jams then it is cheaper.... If you buy a cheap brand then not.... ie 340g hartly jam is about £1.60 so 2kg about £9.
awesome thanks, alot better than having jars to go off when left

also what delvery service do yankee use please ?
Heat added thank you OP
Great for catering I suppose but not for me personally as it’s better to be environmentally friendly not matter the price.

I’ve never seen food waste from jam in the entirety of my life. I have however seen tonnes of plastic end up in the ocean.
Is this really necessary in scheme of pros vs cons!?
E.g wasted food will decay in a few months, plastic is here to stay! We’re not in the 90’s anymore

Yes, absolutely 100%. I can't ever recall throwing out a jar of jam!
Now, if they made a single use jar of Pesto, that would make sense. That stuff seems to go mouldy within a couple of days of opening.

But they were made for commercial use. But sadly pubs, cafes ect have been closed.

So by not buying them not only are you contributing to packaging waste but also food waste!

Yeah, for commercial use these make sense. But I dont think the OP was suggesting they run a cafe or Hotel?!
Cold from me, these are supposed to be for hotels hospitals etc, all this excess packaging and plastic in regular households is totally unnecessary,

But they are only being offered as they are excess stock. They are not making more just because you buy them.

So as they are cheaper than the jars this is a good deal. Handy for work rather than taking a sticky half jar with you.

I recently bought some for someone having chemo, she couldn't have any products such as jam, butter, milk that had been open longer than 24hrs. Otherwise I would agree.

I think my point has been missed though. The OP says they prefers to buy single use. Single use is no longer acceptable. Sure, these have already been made and if no-one buys them they will be wasted. But that isnt why the OP is buying them.
How does it reduce food waste? Since when does jam expire? I for one have never thrown away jam!

TERRIBLE for the environment too

SUPER COLD

After you take a spoonful out, Add a bit of olive oil to the top of the jar. It seals off the pesto from the air. Wipe any excess pesto from the underside of the lid or top of the glass jar then store in the fridge it will last months.

My Italian friend makes her own, in ice cube containers, which she freezes and the defrosts as needed into the pasta.

The environment has been around for millions of years.

Jam does not last millions of years.

Your own argument seems off
The plastic waste on this is astonomical for a household. Not good at all.

Clutching at straws there aren’t you. Are you even trying to make a point
If you haven't been able to go on holiday this year these just need to be combined with cold burned toast to get the full B&B experience. Don't forget to go for a walk in the rain 6 hours a day, ending at a pub that's closed. Sorted.

Lame point of view.

They can give the jam away for free to local nursing homes and so on. No need for waste.
