My card also has a separate offer for virgin trains.

Cheapest journey is probably a child single from Haymarket to Edinburgh Waverley, although I'm happy to be corrected. Make sure that you select the correct TOC when purchasing!!!

Make sure you diarise and take screenshots this if you're doing it, historically they are notorious for not paying out and you can easily miss it if you're not organised.

I suspect that the points will not be through for this year's Sainsbury's double up, and be prepared to take the hit on next year if the double up doesn't run as is rumoured.

Overall, still worth doing.

Yes, it's £5.

Sainsbury's do a double up every year, so could be "worth" £10 depending on if they do it next year, and if you're savvy about the prices they charge for things.

If you buy a cheap single ticket, you're looking at a solid £3 profit at a minimum.

Hence my comment, didn't feel the need to do absolutely everything.

You are pretty unlikely to get the points from this offer in time for this year's double up.

And on lner
Child single Edinburgh Haymarket to Waverly or the other way round was always a cheap ticket option for these deals in the past. Just make sure it's actually an LNER train you're booking.
thanks
Did someone received any points for this purchase?mine looks like is not tracked.my purchase was £1.20 so i’m thinking i should have received at least 1 point
Too soon to get the bonus points, but the 2 base points should have tracked on your Nectar a/c within a couple of days. Does it show on your LNER account? Log in to " My Account" - select "My Loyalty Cards" and the transaction (and 2 points) should be recorded there.
Thanks just booked a child single from Haymarket to Edinburgh for £1.20.
My 2 LNER points have posted.

The points from the similar virgin trains offer have not.
1,000pts have been added to my account, so that's 1,002pts for £1.20. Not bad at all.
