Original Poster

Yes purchased today ASDA Kilmarnock

Surprised!!!!! Well done Asda. I'm sure they have researched. Beats buying from a market.

I know, its as bad as Boots selling cigalikes

Asda jumping on the bandwagon. Should be banned, in this day and age any one except the old should have more sense and not be smoking in the first place, the old get away with it as they were hooked before we knew it was bad for you but no one else has an excuse. And I know I will get stick from the smokers but they always will have an excuse.

Plus, people using these look like absolute idiots.

Poundland have 30ml e liquid and b&m have 10mliquid £1.59

I'd rather tham smoke E-Cigs than actual cigerettes, for one it doesn't contain the who knows how many harmful toxics Cigerettes contains, and which we the non smokers inhale.

It's not actualy smoke but vapour so it doesn't leave that foul tobacco smell everywhere, and if they are vaping some fruit flavour E-juice it actually leaves a more pleasent smell.

More research does need to go into e-cig research, but I hope it's more impartial, the stuff I've seen so far doesn't not seems bias and not a s conclusive as I'd like.

Starter kit as a deal? Best deal is never to start surely? :-)

the majority of people using these are smokers trying to quit. don't be so judgemental.

The most successful thing smokers have used to quit (there are 2 million of us in the uk alone) should be banned?

Why would you possibly want to ban something that is heavily assisting smokers in quitting?

Yours just seems like a rant about a topic that you haven't really got a clue about frankly. I would suggest doing some more research.

don't need to do research as there are plenty of studies for and against these, want people to not smoke in the first place, when I see people in their 20s smoking it doesn't make any sense by now we all know its bad for you no benefits at all. at the end of the day these burning a liquid no matter how many chemicals are in it cannot be good for you. If you can give me a sensible reason why anyone smokes now a days then I will take note but coming from a family that has older smokers and seeing the effects smoking has to me there isn't a sensible reason why anyone would smoke. Rant over

I'm an ex smoker, it was a stupid decision to start I absolutely agree with you, and I should have known better - and I did know better, life events alongside a not-so-great state of mind meant I ended up having just one or two after a few drinks, and it snowballed. I was stupid for starting. That's what most non-smokers want to hear, right? The fact of the matter is though people have made foolish decisions, and wanting to quit is a great step for anyone to make, an extremely difficult one due to how powerful the addiction is, and again these heavily assist in helping that.

I understand your point that people shouldn't start, but people do for various silly reasons, and if they've been foolish enough to make that mistake and want to turn it around and ditch them by quitting I simply cannot understand why you would be against that.

The only people I'd imagine should be against personal vapourisers are the cigarette companies and the government, as the duty on cigarettes outweighs the costs of smoking related disease to the NHS several times over, so they're making a nice cut from them smokers!

Black and white, this is a good deal. Wish people would stick to the merits of the deal and not post ill-informed "rants" about other peoples life choices..and no I don't smoke. Unless you have never done anything that could be considered unhealthy in your life, you don't have the right to judge others.

There have been zero negative studies. There was one in 2009 that found trace amounts of heavy metals but later was shown to be badly carried out. Even that one the toxins were at such low levels to be smaller amounts in your breath naturally.

Action On Smoking and Health (ASH) have studied carefully whether kids and non-smokers are taking them up and concluded that this isn't the case. Ecigs are proven to be 60% more effective than nothing at all, which is in turn better than traditional NRTs such as patches. (That's right, using patches is harder than cold turkey, crazy eh?).

In short vaping has over 100 studies and 50 regulations. They are safe effective and a life saver for people like me who thought they would never be rid of tobacco.

Also that is a mega deal!

To me, there is nothing wrong in smoking, that's coming from a non smoker, I'd rather the government tax highly on alcoho, it's a fact that, alcohol related incidents are a higher drain on the nhs and police.

i wanted to know how the asda brand of vapour cigs cimpared to others there is no info in here on people going on and in about smoking - rubbish site !!

This Vivid e-cig seems much the same as all the others that are sold in Malls for £50. So it really is a stonking bargain at £10.
Also, Asda selling liquid for £2.50 where Mall vendors sell it for £10 EACH!!
However, I am cynical as I hear that cigarette companies are behind them. There is little information about what strength of e-liquid to use. The standard ones are 18mg/ml. A light smoker will use up over 1ml per day which is equivalent to 18 fairly strong cigarettes.
This means increasing ones nicotine intake and dependancy. Best to do some basic maths and dilute the liquid with a 0mg type. Vanilla, Menthol & Cola are a good choice imho. From my calcs, a light smoker should dilute the 18mg liquid 50% with 0mg liquid.
If using an e-cig gives you a headache then be aware that you are overdosing on nicotine.... so reduce your puffs or dilute further.
