100GB 5G Vodafone Sim - Unlimited Minutes & Texts £20 per month before cashback (£288 - Effective £8 per month - 24mo) @ Fonehouse
Posted 3rd Aug 2020

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

For those of you constantly asking me via PMs for a vodafone deal, here you go, please stop now .

This looks quite tasty, right? Plus, it's an hotukdeals exclusive. You won't find this anywhere else.

100GB 5G Sim on Vodafone with unlimited minutes and texts, and no speed restrictions for £20 per month. Fonehouse are throwing in a ridiculous £288 cashback, dropping the effective price to £8 per month!

Cashback is simple, and i've detailed the process below

As with any SIMO plan, it's worth checking coverage in your area or testing the network with a PAYG sim to check coverage in your local area prior to signup.

Claiming Cashback

It’s super simple to claim your cashback. All that’s required is your network bill and your Fonehouse account. Just login into your account and click the button titled ‘Claim Cashback’.

A form will be pulled up, asking you to fill in your order number, name. email address, date of birth, network, telephone number and bill date. You’ll also be asked to include a PDF download of your relevant bill then simply enter the details you gave when you placed the order and submit your claim. You’ll get an email shortly confirming your claim has been submitted successfully.

If you have any issues when trying to claim, you can contact customer services who will be able to help rectify the problems.

When to Claim

The dates you claim differ depending on which contract you have taken out however, they are both claimed in the same way. Redemption cashback is paid in 5 equal instalments throughout the duration of your contract.

You will need to download and submit bills which can be downloaded from your online account with the network, not Fonehouse.

If you’ve decided to order a 24-month contract, you need to submit bills 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18. The claim must be submitted within 60 days of the bill being received.

If you never want to miss a claim, you can set reminders on your current mobile phone.

Cashback Time Frames

Each time you submit your cashback claim, Fonehouse process the submitted bill within 14 days. Successful claims will be paid directly into your bank account within 21 days.

Cashback is paid via BACs into the bank details you give on the order. If your details change, please update us so we can pay the cashback with ease.

Good deal but 24 months contract......too long

24 months is a plus point in my view for a deal like this.

Don't need to go through the faff of finding and porting my number to another deal after 12 months. And it's unlikely to be significantly better (if at all) than 100GB for £8pm on a network that isn't Three or an MVNO.

Hot!

Mark,

apologies, I miss-read the deal text and voted cold. I'd normally vote this deal as hot.
Shame we don't have the ability to change our votes.

that's all right, I misread and not realised this is 24 months not 12 months and voted hot by mistake.
Would not have voted either way so I guess my vote cancelled yours
I reckon changing a vote for say a minute for up to 10 minutes should be made possible by hotukdeals

Hey @Mark thanks for posting - may be very good for me.

Can I just ask are we confident that this deal is on until 31/08/2020, and do we know that it won't run out of stock?

My current 24 month contract ends on 09/09/2020, so I'd call presumably giving notice now, and order this Sim near end of August ideally.

Hi @Felix.360

That's the date given by Fonehouse, It may be worth seeing if you can order now, as I believe some providers don't start billing until the sim is activated in your handset. Might be worth checking?

Sorry, never been on Voda before - can you share data with family members as on EE?

I looked into it earlier found this on google but from 2017 - sims come pre-activated beginning from day of delivery usually. forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/…598

I will try to call Fonehouse to see about their stock thanks.

what should we do when we port the number for another network?
what happens when we move home (change our home address)?
Looks like the deal has changed on their website. It is now £9.83 a month. £244 cash back.

Totally agree that 24 months is a plus point with these cashback deals, my only concern is, what if the network suddenly takes a turn in your locale or even nationally during the length of the contract?

I had this once before with EE; when I moved in 5/5 bar coverage, now, not that I still use EE, its 1/5 - sometimes 0. Networks change and I'm still unsure if I'd want to commit for that long

These 100GB deals are sooo tempting though...

No capped on tariffs will a data limit.
I wish this could be tied in with a phone too
Iam with phone house in the last month of Vodafone contact and the cashback claims worked very smoothly. I would like a 24 months deal so I don't have to look for another deal every 12 months. My only concern is ...in the current disastrous economic climate will phone house be still around in 12 months let alone 24?

Hey - I called fonehouse and they said they couldn't provide any dates for how long deals will be live.May I ask where you found this date please, unless I'm maybe missing it on their site.

Thanks again

Having just called fonehouse they suggested that the cashback claims would be handled by the next subsequent owner, as happened when current owners KTM obtained fonehouse 3 years ago.

Not certain on that though, seemed suggestive rather than certain.

My concern mostly is if fonehouse aren't around during the contract, presumably leaving you on the hook for the full payment with vf.

Yes...I have been stung many years ago when the cashback company went bust only 3 months after I started with them and I was stuck for 24 months with two expensive contracts.

£8 a month for a 5G contract? Why is that too long? Are you expecting it to be cheaper in 12 months?

It is my opinion. I have only sim with cashback from few years and trust me better take 12 months. Sim deals change every few weeks. Nearly 8 to 10 pound it is lots at the moment. And never know what happened with your cashback after 12 months. It is long time

Isn’t that what generally happens when more people join a service over time? The price usually goes down.
”early adopters” usually pay a premium price to be the first to get the service.

Even if they aren't, 20 quid a month isn't the end of the world so worth a punt I reckon
