Ta, but it just says sorry something’s gone wrong...repeatedly. Even in a different browser.
Thanks though
It's a great deal if you have BT broadband, since you get 5quid off so it's 20 a month. And BT gets full priority on EE's network since they own them.

These are the speeds I get. Don't even see the need for 5G with these speeds. 38065773-M1uBs.jpg

5G is not just about speed (fast upload and downloads), its also about low latency and more capacity per cellsite.
Most people dont understand the technology.

I understand the business applications of it but I am still not clear from a consumer standpoint how lower latency benefits me on a mobile device. And from what initial reviews I have seen in both the US and the UK, the absurdly high frequencies mean that coverage is really poor

I understand your points for the general consumer.

"how lower latency benefits me"
Websites will be more snappier, sites will load much more quickly.

"absurdly high frequencies mean that coverage is really poor"
You are correct, initial coverage will be poor, just as 3G and 4G was. However, they will scatter micro cells for greater coverage.
Also note, 1st gen 5G transceiver will not be great, battery consumption will be higher.

Since 5G brings low latency and more capacity, this will benefit mobile home broadband users.

Negotiate and threaten to leave. Lots of us on the same for a tenner.

4g has a finite amount of bandwidth that easily gets congested, some areas dont have this problem but that can change in the future the more customers they get in the area. In parts of london 4g speeds are terrible because theres so many connected at once. 5g has almost no bandwidth limits because theres going to be loads of 5g antenna everywhere.

Not to mention that UK rollout of 5G is not yet utilising "absurdly high frequencies". Contrary to what the tin foil hats plaster all over Facebook, we're typically looking at between 2500MHz - 3500MHz.

Phase 2 will then begin to rollout ~30GHz coverage where appropriate.

Use cases aren't immediately apparent excluding what's already been mentioned - Ever had full signal in somewhere like London Victoria but simply had pages time out?

M2M / IOT will also be the yet unproven use case. Super low latency is essential for V2X (Vehicle to Anything) communication where mere milliseconds can be the difference between a collision and a near miss.

Industrial applications are the same, where real time latency can boost efficiency of processes and machine to machine comms.

5G is not necessarily the for Joe Bloggs watching Netflix on his commute, although I'm sure it helps!

How did you do that, they only answer the emails sent to CS, once every few days.. or in some cases weeks!

Did you do it recently, to get it from the £18 unlimited offer finishing next week or when it was £25?
Has the BT Reward finished? Can't see it against the deal anymore

On same with smarty?
Just upgraded to this. I don't have broadband with them. I was on 2 sims both 25gb each for £32pm, I now have 100gb on each for £40pm 😁

Thank you op for the post.
Hi, I called BT, and they offered me the below.

Two BT 100GB sims for £35.
This is a family sim package with the usual unlimited calls, unlimited texts, and BT Sports). This price includes the BT Broadband £5 discount. As I also have BT Plus, they doubled the data allowance on both sims...so both me and my partner get 200GB each. For the price, this works out about £17.50 each, which is not bad.
So its definitely worth phoning BT and haggling with them
