I wouldn't watch a film now that isn't in HD.

The quality jump form SD to HD is just too much.

Older films have been totally revitalised by HD.

The jump from HD to 4K isn't as noticeable. HDR is however.

But DVD, it is dead to me.
Voting hot.. But I dont think I will order as knowing my luck I will got the 100 worst films in history.

Its not that bad. The reason I still like dvds is because the dvd rewinders are so much cheaper than the 4k blu ray rewinders.

Apparently 200,000 subscribers in the USA still use the Disc in the post system.

With my luck ( or lack of) I would get 50 copies of super Mario Bros and the rest a selection of Uwe Boll "classics".
Ex-love films ?????????? OMG.
You never know what you might get. Could be a whole boxset if you are lucky. Also best offer is available on the lot so could get them cheaper than 25p a disc. Bootsale potential stock if you do them.
I still have the last 2 dvds they sent me (2 disc set of AC/DC - Live at River Plate)!
Well, no late fees, keep as long as you want, etc... so it's not like I'm breaking any contract with them.
This is actually amazing
Just wondered when buying this - Are all the DVD's different or could you literally have 100 copies of Harry Potter?

There is a possibility of duplicates as there is no mention of an inspection prior to distribution.

The description says you'll get a random selection so I recon you might get a couple of duplicates but most would be different.

Amazon did send a statement out that all remaining DVD/Blurays you own you can keep at no cost to you. I had Car Share S1 & Disc 4 of Are you being served spinoff sequel Grace & Favor.
Placed an order - now to see what rubbish I get!
If they were Blu-rays and not DVDs ... I'd be worried that I'd receive more coasters than movies with DVDs.
I think they will have taken any valuable dvds, so you will only get ones that are under 50p to buy at cex.

What a waste of a good company. Wonder how much these sellers paid for the stock?

All I am saying is, somebody seems a little defensive.

Mate... they ain’t mine, I’m just saying it’s a better deal as they are retail boxed ones, I could not give a shìt whether you think so or not, I was just offering an alternative. If t was me I would not buy either as I only buy Blu-ray now jog on
Scores on the doors - just received mine :

27 Partial box sets i.e. 1 or 2 out of a complete disk set
Around 10 sets of duplicated discs, I've got 3 copies of Dr Seuss .......
Some stand up comic discs (3 duplicates)
2 documentaries
Plenty of films from mainly 2009-2013 - nothing spectacular.

There are a few films that say "disc 2" or "disc 3" so possibly not worth watching if we're missing previous discs.

Just about worth the money I paid - your mileage may vary .........
