I enjoy laughing in the face of environmental pressures & kick my used Nespresson pods into the road outside my house. It's quite a fun game seeing how far I can get them away from my front door

A Groundhog Day deal 👏🏼
I bought all 3 of the amazon ‘flavours’ (espresso, lungo and ristretto) a couple of weeks ago when they were £4/box of 100.

I don’t drink coffee but people who have been enjoying them said they were slightly more bitter than Nespresso originals but after the second cup they were used to it and very happily enjoying them.
Oh and of the 20+ so far drunk, there have been no issues with them getting stuck in the machine, falling through, or misfiring like I’ve had with other compatibles (Starbucks ones were the worst).
nearly double the price of 2 weeks ago. still by far the best pods under 20p each. Hot

Starbucks and the Tesco's finest ones are awful for getting jammed and just shredding the foil
love the aldi columbian ones but will give this a try,
Plastic pods

Plastic pods

I was wondering if anyone also has an issue with the pods in the environmental sense as I do. Thanks

Soooooo much plastic! Why do we worry about plastic straws when in my opinion these have even shorter "useful" life?

Interesting Q&As

I'm no saint but this feels a bad option. Not as if Amazon needs any more bad rep either after taxes, packaging etc. L'or do a fair compromise aluminium capsule which is my go to cheapie option.

We have invested in a bean to cup machine and haven't looked back since. The "no plastics" in the house are mainly driven by the wife but it does rub off on me

As good as the nespresso pods???? They are ok but nowhere near the taste of nespresso.
Does anyone know of any similarly good deals on Dolce Gusto compatibles?

I have bought the espresso and lungo varieties before and -although inferior to the original Nespresso ones- they're perfectly acceptable for the price. But for the same reasons, I've settled on buying the Lor capsules which are fully aluminium and just recycle them along with my original Nespresso ones.
I bought these a while back and some of them tasted horrible almost bleach like. I returned then shortly after

I don't plan on throwing mine in the sea and I hope my recycling plant doesn't either.
Really unplesant and gritty. Tried 2, will give other 98 away so expensive.
Ordered, heat
Bought the other day for £4 something, seem very good for me. Regarding recycling, take the foil off, tip the coffee out (can go on the garden or food recycling), wash the plastic out and put with your other plastic recycling. I just wash them once I've washed everything else up.
Prefer these to 99% of the weak cack you get in supermarkets. Use 2 in a big mug, dark and strong.

Not all plastic is recyclable and very few plastic Nespresso pods are. No information about whether these are on amazon, either.
