What are your opinions on this iPad - seems like a decent price to me, I have the iPad mini retina but these older models still pack a punch

The advert received also states the 32GB model is available for £120 but I can't see it on svp's website.

iPad 1 will fail to run some apps and now be unable to display some web pages in full.

Personally avoid and get higher ipad model you can afford.

Not debating Apple vs android ..

not supported by Apple since ios4. you'll struggle to find any apps in the app store. OK for internet browsing though

Ingorning the fruit based logo, get a more up to date andriod device for the money, it will last longer due to the ipad 1 been old and with an older os

I would spend a bit more and get a more recent version.

My Ipad 2 has been getting slower and slower, updating to ios8 has made it a shadow of its former self.

I took advantage of the recent sales and bought an Ipad mini 2 64gb and an Ipad Air 32gb

The mini had ios7 and the Air ios8. Using both side by side I find the mini faster and more pleasant to use. I will hold off installing ios8 for as long as possible. The Air running ios8 is just that little bit slower and not as 'slick'.

In relation to this deal I would look for an Ipad still running ios7, may be the pre-Air retina version?

i think it's a bit of a craphole how companies push updates on you thus rendering the device slower and ultimately obsolete thus forcing you to shell out more and more for the next iteration.

rant over

On the iOS8, make sure you have 8.1.2.
Then go to Accessibility Settings and switch on Reduce Transparency and Reduce Motion.

The try comparing them again.

better off buying a newer model second hand for similar money, than buying something that is already unusable. Avoid!
