Getting stung by customs is something to consider. I have never been charged by customs when buying from DX, but that’s not to say you won’t be.

Western digital do make great media players and are certainly worth considering, I do like the ability to slot a 3.5” H/D in the side of this one as well as the extra connections on the back.

First link is not an enclosure meaning you will need an external usb HDD and therefore 2 power sockets (reason why I went with an enclosure myself.)

Second link is a brilliant little media player though take not that there is no way to upgrade the internal HDD of it AFAIK.

I already have an A.C ryan PlayonHD it uses a realtek chipset like this (but an older version, this uses the same chipset as the Xtreamer.) and I am really happy with my purchase.

The most important thing with these devices is the software though, having a good user interface and stability are the key things to look out for especially considering that there are so many similar specced devices out there.
