Clicking on the link, the best I can find it for is £929.99 with delivery in 2-5 weeks with super-saver delivery. It's in stock and ready for next day delivery at ]ProjectorsDirect for 72p more ... it's not a massive saving ...

that is just ****, depending on your distance from the projected image + 20:20 vision means that 1080p is neither here or there. Realistically the most important factor when buying a PJ is ANSI Lumens, Variable Zoom, contrast, and Bulb life and cost.

From the master projector reviewers

"At this point in time, virtually every 1080p projector produces better image quality than the majority of 720p projectors. "

If you have greater projector review authority, would be great to give more of your expert opinion here.

Your "eyes will never lie"
i.e. 1080p @ 2metres or 720p @ 4metres you do the maths!
20:20 Vision, Contrast Ratio, Cost & Life Span of bullb & ANSI Lumens are going to be more important. I am speaking on experience of a projector @ 6 metres in my Lounge (btw: mine is "permanently" ceiling mounted)
OBVIOUSLY if you have a viewing distance of less than 2.5 metres then 1080p is going to be an issue ( but not if the pic. is too dim @ 1000 ANSI lumens and low contrast plus the fact that you DO NOT HAVE 20:20 Vision in the first instance:whistling:)

OR
To sum it up in a "nutshell" it is "all relative"

I.E.
1,000 ANSI Lumens in daylight is **** compared to 1,000 ANSI Lumens in the Dark.
OR
"1 chilli in a curry" to a vindaloo eater is not hot Compared to "10 Chillies in a curry"
are you getting "the picture?"

This chart:

]http//ww…ze/

Shows that you can get noticeable benefit from 1080p at aropund 7 foot on a 50" screen compared to 720p - but your likely to have a larger screen than that, so on an 80 inch screen, 10 foot or below is the optimum distance, but you can sit up to around 15 foot and still notice the difference from 720.

Argh stop I just bought an optoma hd65

Link Fixed - Whoopsie.

Its not just 1080p though thats the issue its the 24 frames per second playback that the 1080p models have over the 1080p.
