If there's a hosepipe ban, you can still fill these (AFAIK). What exactly is the deal with then using their contents to water your plants/garden (via the hosepipe drain attachment?!)

Looks like a great buy for the summer - so long as you don't mind killing off a 5' radius of grass (or have a pretty big patio).

wouldnt you kill 10' radius of grass?

EDIT: ok seems i need to go back to school and look up what a radius is LOL

You would kill a 10' diameter!

Would you need to buy the electric pump and chlorine chemicals it offers too?

Yeah, there was an offer a while ago for a similar thing that we put loads of info on about chemicals and pumps and even solar heaters for example. If I can find it I'll post it.

Yeah, a standard hosepipe ban means you can still fill it. It can get more severe but I don't think that's happened for like 30 years! Should be ok to still water the garden from it unless you were doing it specifically for that purpose. Filling it up once and emptying it into the garden would be ok whereas putting some in everyday and watering the garden from it wouldn't.

Read my above post about making your own solar heater.

i had one of these cost me £150 when they first came out i used once and now stuck in shed it takes loads of looking after with chlorine etc and mine had a filter lot of use that was loland emptying was a pain too flooded garden whos garden uses all the gallons of water to water?? but have to say one thing good when there up and treated etc they are alot of fun but there is also no protection for children if they play in garden so beware as they are easy to fall into and slippery/deep

what colour is the cover? is it transparent plastic to warm the water up?

these things are a pain to store in the winter months but at this price it's not too silly to imagine buying 1 a year i guess. Especially if global warming REALLY kicks in ;-)

does anyone know if it comes with a filter for the pump or do you have to buy it seperatly? if so what kind? where from? Is it worth buying a solar cover?
