Has gone up by 50p since yesterday, but still a great deal if you use Quidco double the difference guarantee!

3396035.jpg

Quidco offer £60 cash back on this deal, TCB offer £90. Quidco will double the difference with their premium member guarantee, so you end up with £120 cash back!

This therefore works out at annual cost of £150 minus £120 cash back leaving £30 for the year or £2.50 a month 😁

Here's what to do:

1 - Make sure you're a NEW Quidco premium member - You must have become a premium member after 13th November 2019. It's free to upgrade, takes about 10 seconds, and they only take a quid a month if you've earned cashback. This will come from your cash back, never your bank account.

Thanks to LankyChris - If you upgraded to Premium before 13/11/19 you will need to speak to online chat, to see if they can put you on the new scheme.

2 - Go through Quidco and make your purchase.

3 - SUBMIT YOUR CLAIM HERE:
quidco.com/highest-cashback-guarantee/

You must do this within 72 hours of your purchase but you have to wait for it to track with Tesco first which will take about 10 minutes.

4 - Use this as the link to the TCB better rate on your Quidco claim:

topcashback.co.uk/tesco-mobile/

5 - It will track at £60 plus a seperate one of £30. I checked with Quidco and it should increase from £30 to £60 when the claim is validated.

Community Updates
Also note that you have to be a "New Premium" member to get the required get "Double the Difference Highest Cashback Guarantee" for this deal. See under Settings > Account type - quidco.com/set…nt/.

Existing £5/year "Old Premium" members no longer get "Double the Difference Highest Cashback Guarantee".

However if you go on chat you may be offered a refund of your existing £5 fee, as I just was, so that you can upgrade to the new £1/month plan without paying for both.
Quidco; "On average, cashback pays in under EIGHT MONTHS." And... What will stop you getting cashback? "If the contract is not live for at least 6 months" (or until cashback is paid, which can be more than eight months!). And cashback is not guaranteed, so this is a gamble

May be worth a punt though, if you're feeling....Lucky!

Do Quidco definitely do double the difference for mobile contracts? I know for some categories they'll only match add 10%.
Yep, i spoke to them on chat this morning
How can this be cold i don't understand HUKD sometimes.
OP Quidco PM is £1 a month, not 5 - just in case that puts people off.
quidco.com/pre…um/

I don't understand how/why people vote on this site either. Clearly hot.

Thanks, I'll update
Also note that you have to be a "New Premium" member. See under Settings > Account type - quidco.com/set…nt/.

According to the details here only new £1/month premium get "Double the Difference Highest Cashback Guarantee", existing members on the £5/year apparently don't get this benefit.

"Old Premium" members no longer get these benefits, even though you've paid £5 for a full year of benefits.

I've just been on chat to clarify this and was offered a refund of my £5 fee in order that I could then upgrade to the new £1/month plan.
Seems odd they would rule it out for current members. Could you just downgrade and upgrade again? Without having to go on chat I mean.

I know typical sneaky Quidco trying to wiggle out of things without properly explaining it. I only realised because I went to check my current membership status.

Yes you could do that, but they wouldn't automatically refund the £5.

Full chat:
Alex: Hi there
Me: Hi
Me: I'm just looking at the difference between "New Premium" and "old Premium"
Me: On my account settings: quidco.com/set…unt
Me: I'm on old premium £5/year until 11 April 2020
Me: That page makes it look like "Up to 10% top-up on cashback rates" and "Double the Difference Highest Cashback Guarantee" are only available on New Premium
Alex: I can see you're on the old service but you will be moved over to the new pone on your renewal date =]
Alex: I can downgrade you now, this will return the £5.00 fee youve paid so far for this year
Alex: and you will be able to upgrade without losing the fee you've already paid =]
Me: Yes but between now and 11 April 2020 do I still get those benefits I mentioned above?
Me: Or do I need to downgrade as you suggested, then move to the New Premium?
Alex:You will if you transfer over to the new premium, the old premium you wont get this, thats correct, if you upgrade yourself, the old fee will not be refunded
Me: Ok in that case can you downgrade me please? It seems that I'm not getting anything for my £5 so it makes sense to refund it.
Alex: Of course, i have done this now and you will see the fee here shortly =]:
Excellent! Their chat guys seem good to be fair
Tesco Clupbcard plus says it offers double data on Tesco mobile plans so you might be able to get 20Gb if you're a member of that. I've not looked into it to confirm but might be worfwhile with the other benefits if you do a lot of shopping at Tesco.
It's saying £30 pending on my quidco not £60?

Great deal I must say, all thanks to me I ordered via tcb, sent them my pac code and paid the 1st £12 but I haven't activated the sim. Should I cancel and order through quidco or to much hassle Thanks in advance!!

Hard to say! Ask the chat guys on Quidco, they're very helpful. You could just get your wife to open a Quidco account and do the same 😁

You're right, i pretty much copied your deal haha but just made it a little better

Depends how much you want to save an extra £30 haha plus there's no guarantee they'll honour the bonus, can't see why they wouldn't tho!

Farzana (27/01/2020, 16:34:20): I want to purchase a sim for my sister also, can I purchase another sim using same Quidco account (ie my account) if I have already claimed once and purchased?
Alex (27/01/2020, 16:34:36): Of course, you can but i woudl check the retailers t&cs
Alex (27/01/2020, 16:34:45): As some wont pay cashabck for exisiting customers of theirs

I wonder if you can cancel contract as would be within 14 day cooling off period ? Say they dont honour bonus.
Seems like a good deal if quidco track correctly. Does this complicate double the cashback being the wrong amount being tracked?
I am aware that Tesco's uses the 02 network but is the reception and the data coverage the same as O2?

Happens a lot with Quidco, stuff doesn't track correctly at first but will eventually adjust to the right amount.

It's annoying even if you raise a ticket. Can take them upto 6 months waiting period before they raise issue with the retailer.

Let's hope this one would automatically adjust to the right amount

Why not refer her for a quidco account from yours and set her up an a quidco account as you'll probably get a referral bonus. Worth checking.
be aware.. i am on tesco from saturday...week ago saturday! still not activated sim
Done. Great deal. Showing £60 tracked and £30 tracked. That is a bargain let alone another £30 too. Heat !!!

Quidco way to flaky, they can decline your claim and you’ve got no option but to accept it, save yourself the pain and use TCB

Perhaps. But if it saves some people some dough then it's all good.
Don't forget you can use club card vouchers towards your phone bill. Eg £5 clubcard voucher double up to £10. If you shop reguarly at tesco you could end up getting this free 😁
Will have to cancel account as speeds of Data are worse than any other network i have tried less than 2mbps.Shame but without guaranteed cashback the risk is not worth it.
