Go with 3 better deal

Am currently with Three on £10 unlimited everything, can’t wait to switch to EE/O2/Vodafone once my contract is over!

I lose signal crossing bridges in London and their app to check usages/allowances has been broken for last 5 days!

Had a 24 outage last year on the same day when I was flying out!

How’s is EE reception in Inner London Areas? Is it overly better than Three?

I’m with Three atm and having terrible time. No point of having unlimited data when you can’t use it.

Anyone tempting to take this deal or links to better deal would be much appreciated

From Experience in London EE beats 3 by a mile especially inside big shopping centres and crowded areas I also have a 3 sim with unlimited everything for £5 but noticed inside it is quite poor in comparison to EE and Vodafone

I was getting 55-85mb with their data speeds. Tried all other network providers but they had the best consistent speeds. I'm based in East London btw
How good are the essential plans? Looks like there's not much difference between essential plans and the main 'smart' plans?
Edited by: "Uns" 1st Jun
EE signal in london is excellent. The speeds are very good too. I'm on a legacy max plan and have been getting speeds up to 300mb/s on 4G+ (tho usually get between 30 and 150)

Problem with the EE essential plan is they cap the 4g speeds at 60mbit/s, but that is more than adequate for most!

Nobody seems to be keen to divulge this for EE for some reason, similarly there are no recent forum threads around the internet with this, though you'll find loads for voda/3/o2 etc

My Dad has an essential sim but has easily hit speeds of 100mbps upwards when on 4G+ so not sure about there cap system the same when I was on pay as you to a few years ago and the highest speed I hit was 150mbps in West Minster

But the speed on EE is normally perfect anyway

Interesting. Good to see they are letting some hit those speeds on those plans, but it's very clearly stated on these essential plans that the max speed is 60mbit/s, so im just making people aware, as if they enforced it then the customer cant complain as it was in black and white when they ordered.

I feel you I'm unlimited on three £11 a month but lucky to get speeds above 3-4 mbs. There's no point if you can't use it.

I was speaking to retentions last week to cancel my sim only contract. Even got a call back asking what they could do.

I was offered £10 for 10GB or £20 for unlimited.
Told them I'd be going with BT for £15 for 40GB (with £70 cashback) and they couldn't get anywhere near it.
I mentioned how bad 3 were in London on a Three deal and people got upset and had a go.
It got so bad I was missing calls all the time due to no signal. I’m with EE now and it’s great. But I appreciate that 3 might be great in some areas as they’ll get value for money. I’m glad I changed anyway.
£10 for 10gb is pretty standard EE retention these days. It was a thread this time last year at that rate and it hasn't changed much in 12mths.
uSwitch is showing 20GB for £15 if anyone's interested
I got offered this and £8/month for 8gb on retentions by EE couple of days ago. Haven't gone for it yet though - anyone got anything better?

I quoted the Three deal but they couldn't match it.
Is this new customer only deal?
£10 pm for 10GB with EE is a very good deal

i will need to call retentions soon and hope to get a cheap sim deal as i don't need any more than 2GB. wonder if i could one for less than £5 pm?
Great, I have been using plusnet and this is slightly better value to get onto a main carrier. HOT.
I'm on 25GB with EE at £17.23 a month. Was £16 the other year but as each year goes on the price creeps up

No chance. I am on an old £5 deal from a couple of years ago. I spoke to EE last week and they told me that I should have received a letter cancelling it as it was not affordable for them!
They offered me 10gb for £10, 15gb for £16 and 100gb for £20 on 12m contracts but these are essential plans.

Am I right in assuming these would be slower speeds than the max plan which I currently have?

Should be capped at 60mb on essential although I have not personally experienced the issue and constantly got higher speeds on 4G+ other people's experience might very depending on location

If you have a good max plan I would stay with it as I'm sure Max Plans include free international roaming in additional locations along with the top speeds

I was looking for a cheap additional sim as I have data sharing set up for my family but from memory the cheapest I was offered was about £9 for 250mb.

they are having a laugh!
Would you be able to get 5G with this like the O2 sim on offer yesterday?

I would love to keep my max plan but it’s £40 a month for 20gb and I don’t need a new phone at the moment....

No only their smart plans are 5G essentials are 4G
I managed to get 14GB from plus.net on a 30 day rolling contract for £10.
I ve been on EE since they merged and currently paying £10 for 30gb in each line so data share wer required.
Heat given that EE can now can offer a low price

A Week after black Friday, without even trying they give 10gb for £8 - I was happy with that

Didn't realise max plans were that expensive I would definitely swap to a non max plan at that kind of price it's 20gb for £15 on the essential plan

Using he 5G network doesn't necesary mean they will allow you to have 5G speeds
Just renewed my family SIMS with BT. We have broadband and they double your data: £10 for 20GB and we never have signal problems
Can you still upgrade on EE via live chat?

Was on the verge of moving my 2nd sim to 02 but if I can get this I'll stay with EE.
