the red was reduced to £7 but recently gone back to full price on the web site. Yesterday scanned @£7
I love the squarer shape visually and it is safer because of the larger base.
Noticed plenty stock everywhere recently (London).
All the other colors are at full price
DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE OUT OF STOCK ON WEB SITE, THE STORES ARE FULL OF THEM

This appears to be a great deal and I would snap one up at that price, but the difficulty with voting your deal Hot is that it is still shown as £15.99 on the website, and as you say, it is shown out of stock everywhere.
You say that it was £7 YESTERDAY, so is it not possible that it has now gone back up today? I am loathe to make a 20 mile round trip to my nearest Homebase to find that;
a) they have none
b) if they do have any, then they are £15.99

I am sorry for the trouble but it is a risk to take, I would say wait until someone else will kindly confirm that they are @ £7 around the country
Obviously, looks to me that they are out of stock at full price on the web. Bought 2 recently @£7plus 15% discount. Stores in streatham and Kingston/newmalden was scanning @£7 last night and therefore I assume that the price in store is never changed anywhere. They had 4 left in Streatham and many in Kingston/newmalden last night . Does not mean that are in stock in your nearest store but you could get the price at the till with the SKU number I provided hoping that you will find at least one around you. Anyway as I am talking I believe that London is full of them as no many stores changed the price in the shelves during the sale. Incidentally the shops showing the £7 price do have only very few left. Ewell store was full of them few days ago because was showing full price on the shelf. Good luck to everyone

Good Luck and in the eventuality that the price today or in the next few day might change in store, notice that they would/should honour the £7 price if still on display in some stores
I too like these better than the rounder ones. I'm interested why the squarer ones are safer though.
am I right these are for diesel only?

because it seats down with a much larger base and in the car can make the difference when you turn. In reality should be both strapped but do we really care !! lol

no, I believe the red is for the garden tools etc.. but legally there is no restriction about the type of petrol you want to use.

Anyway, the deal is correct at £7 and there is plenty stock around here, I had one scanned today in Wimbledon, they got 7-8 in the shelf

Cheers,

I know a few years ago, I went to a fuel station with a 20L green jerry can and they said I couldn't fill it up, because it wasn't an approved container.
I had since been working on the understanding that they would only let you use a certified plastic canister for petrol due to the lacking expansion properties in the metal ones.

But times must have moved on!
thanks
They had some left in my local store and loads of the 20L ones. But is it supposed to come with the pouring spout?
Thanks OP
popped in on the way to the dentist yesterday - loads on the shelf (none if you look on the website) , got 2 , shame the spouts were £7 - hopefully my old one will fit off my 20L can

No. Generally speaking metal Jerry cans do NOT come with a spout.
They are sold separately: homebase.co.uk/ste…345
seen many at Kingston/New Malden today. Still priced @ £7
