Well, not such a deal,as always at £9.As for emulsion itself,-not so bad for money you pay.

10l of trade paint is £10 in b&q, the basic paint is crap

I think you are getting voted cold because people imagine you using this for a top coat. This is good for just going over plaster as you suggest.

Hi i have just built new hosue and had to cover the walls in white paint. i tried them all. DO NOT USE THIS STUFF, try B and Q trade counter and buy the leyland stuff, its even better than Crown. Dulux is the best. b and Q have magicote stuff as well but its not great either.
..belive me I have tried them all, I have used 250 l of paint....

Bought this yesterday to go on fresh plaster, used 2 coats today and must say I found it ok, I have had cheap paint in the past and really bad, this isn't as bad as i thought - tried and tested, off to get another 2 tomorrow

i recently bought this for new plaster and landed up using it to paint coving as well, found that this is the best white emulsion i have used been using crown and this was much better, really thick paint it looks quite see through when you put it on but dries really thick so has good coverage only needed one coat on the coving so cant be that bad

Most decorators will thin paint with water on fresh plaster......only saying...

Just used it watered down, and Its covered the new plaster pretty good already, As good as the Crown 10L I got for a tenner last time.

i bought this basics to cover new platered wall and you get what you pay for but once i put dulux matt emulsion on top the brilliant white ended up a creamy white, not happy. I guess it is not compatible with Vectra

Bought two 10 Litre White Matt Emulsion tubs for ceilings and walls as it was on sale at B&Q for £10:00 each and thought why not as I've used Crown, Dulux and B & Q etc etc previously. I gave three coats on each application and was very impressed with the finish as it came up "stunning white" compared to a recently painted application from Crown! The skimmed plastered ceilings had a PVA through it and the walls were of gyproc plasterboard. I would certainly use this product again which was far more cheaper as we like a bargain!
