£1 per m for warm white LED strips. I’m using the warm white and cold white from this brand in the kitchen and found them to be reliable. They have a high density so it looks seamless.
There is no power supply or controller with these.

Easy to Mount
With high quality peel-and-stick adhesive backing, it is very easy and fast to mount to most clean, dry and flat solid surfaces.
Cut to Length
You can cut it (at the cutting marks) to fit the length you want, but the cut off part will need extra connector or power, or it won't light up.

I like the look of those, especially being able the plug them straight into a USB socket (I was thinking about straight into a TV) but then I realised there's no way to adjust the brightness 😔

That's why I generally go for smart or adjustable ones, this way I can change it whenever I want.

True. For my uses I’ll be cutting and making different circuits for a wall feature, I reckon I’ll need 50m all in. Powering those will be interesting
Minger has a 3A 12V psu included. And it comes on offer at least once a month, search for a minger on here, I mean minger on HUKD (and that's not the other HUKD - Hot UK Dates)
I find warm white suits the lounge and master bedroom, cool white suits the kitchen, small bedroom (since that is my office), and hallway areas.
