In order to be used outside? Needs to be ip66?

Not at all.

IP65 means totally dust tight (first digit) and protected against low pressure jets of water from any angle up to (6.3mm of water).

IP64 would probably be okay outside, 65 is more than adequate unless you're blasting it with water then you need IP66 which is protection from high pressure water jets.

So if you buy this just don't jet wash it to clean it.

Says 30cm MAINS cable attached, so 240... Certainly isn't clear, very disappointed myself
Spend a little more and get solar
Won't last long. Poor casting will rust in couple of months

Any recommendations from experience? Need a couple of lights to light the back of the house when hosing down the dogs after walks in winter.

Got this 3 years ago, very bright and it has been faultless.
As it's solar you also don't need to worry about wiring it in and the electric is free!

Good time of year to put one up, I did ours in the winter with numb hands and poor daylight

Not really. It is better to have a higher IP rating, but for outdoor IP44 is enough.

You could get it in specialist lighting trader, but I do not even think if you could find IP 66 easily in DIY shop like B&Q, Screwfix, Tools Station
