No. The iPhone X and 8 will fast charge with any Qi charger than outputs 7.5W or more.

Edit: Also this doesn’t look like it includes a wall plug so won’t do fast charge out of the box regardless.

QI is an international standard for wireless charging, not only smart phones. It will work with any QI phone, tablet etc.
So if your phone has capability, it will fast charge.
Apple are different, QI charge is limited to 5Watts on all there phones, it will never fast charge. OS11.2 rumoured to up it to 7.5Watts

There’s no rumours, it’s fact. iOS 11.2 introduced fast wireless charging

This is one of the articles that suggest otherwise:
google.co.uk/amp…mp/

“Apple currently sells Qi charging pads from Belkin and Mophie. According to both of those manufacturers, only companies that partner with Apple (like them) will be able to be certified and have their Qi chargers take advantage of the 7.5w power output.

7.5w is an officially supported mode for Qi chargers by the Wireless Power Consortium but it appears Apple is using hardware identifiers to restrict access to accessories that it vets.”
Says free shipping on product page but minimum P&P is $3.45 at checkout. Am I missing something?

No Qi charger works with the Apple Watch unfortunately. Only the supplied charger and the upcoming charging pad from Apple called AirPower

A Huawei.

Any ideas what this product is like review-wise? The other fast charger on HUK looks really dodgy so hoping this is a better alternative...

Same for me. The title shouldn't include "shipped" as it clearly doesn't.

Sorry the free shipping was being applied when I posted it but it seems to be charging now. I have emailed Customer Service to see what the deal is.

It's okay if you can't afford an iPhone X, but you don't have to bash it.

I can afford an iPhone X, but I'm not insane enough to pay such money for a phone that's only worth half that.

And I do have every right to bash it, because myself and many others do think Apple could have designed it without that hideous notch at the top of the screen and the repulsive camera bump at the back which resembles a traffic light.

If Samsung can create an all-screen phone without any notches hindering the user experience, and have a camera that sits flush with the rear of the phone, why can't Apple?

Shame, because some people will still buy the iPhone X because of the status symbol Apple still sadly has nowadays.

Off topic, I have to say I admire your avatar. Fonejacker/Facejacker were great. Kayvan Novak is a genius.

The notch being hideous is very subjective. But behind it Apple has put the Face ID sensor, which is far more accurate/superior than any facial recognition Samsung has produced.

Similarly, "repulsive" camera bump is subjective. But once you have a case (and if you didn't you'd be a fool), this is a non-issue.

Whilst an iPhone X might be more expensive than a Galaxy S8, in 3 years time it will hold significantly more value. So if you come to sell it, it will likely pay for the price gap between the iPhone and S8.

iPhone has always been, and always will be the premium choice of smartphone in the market. It's just a shame that Android users have such a problem with that.

I dispute that. As an ex-iPhone user, my current Huawei phone, in my opinion, offers a far more premium experience than any iPhone can offer.

The saying, "You pay more, you get more", no longer applies to smartphones.

I've been on this forum for many years, and am a keen advocate of value for money smartphones. The iPhone X is not worth £1000. Not now, not ever. Even in three years time, I would still not pay £500 for it.

I don't have a problem with iPhone users as such, it's just whenever I see someone in work [I work for a major supermarket] paying with Apple Pay on their iPhone X, I instantly think they're a mug/insane/a sheep/have too much money for their own good/or a combination of all of the above.

To recap, paying £1000 for a mobile phone is absolutely obscene, and even if my favourite smartphone manufacturer had a premium phone at £1000, I would still not buy it. No phone is worth that kind of money. Not even an Apple phone. I will spend £500 tops for a premium flagship, and will happily save or spend the rest on something worthwhile.

Ignoring the Android fanboys and back to the subject in hand, I’ve never heard of Zapals. Are they reputable? Would this also require a special charging lead or power adapter for fast charging? Thanks in advance. Edit: actually, scrub that, I’ve just googled them and it doesn’t look good. resellerratings.com/sto…als
