That's not a deal. they've taken a free service and bolted on a 'pay as you go' bit that has no clear benefits.

Closer to a scam than a deal.

The Warp+ is just for 'better routing across there network', you shouldn't need Warp+ in anywhere except from Asia since there routing is .

Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) is a trusted CDN provider used by millions of sites (including HotUKDeals) so ain't no scam cheif.

They are pushing a serive that has no benefits to most people without making that clear. That's why it's scammy.
Tried it. Cant see where to select location but will look at it again. Warp speedtested at 21mb down and 16 up. Not warp really is it

More private DNS than Google's 8.8.8.8
I have a problem with this statement.

"Your Internet service provider can see every site and app you use—even if they’re encrypted."

That's ambiguous at best, at worst it's a complete lie.

All DNSs will log in some way, but Cloudflare is the best since they have more POPs (more servers in different regions to be able to offer lower latency).

Also, cloudflare is used by most sites as there DNS provider so you won't have to wait as long for a DNS update to come though since they won't have to submit a request every 30m-24h to update there local records.

But with paid VPNs you provide them with your name, email & credit card number. All VPN providers with a decent setup will store somewhat of a log even though they claim they don't.

They don't want to upset there upstream providers by allowing illegal (excluding Torrenting) activities occuring on there network.

Best is subjective.

Personally I'd not use them. How often are sites pushing DNS updates, it's certainly not daily. So that point is moot too.

We can go down the DNS over HTTPS route, which again leads to the question, why are these companies providing the service? They know your source IP, what time you requested the data, what sites you look at, I wonder if there's any fingerprinting going on? I wonder which ad companies use Cloudflare?

Just my paranoia working overtime, I guess.

It's not paranoia when it's real!...

All these vpns could all be intelligence OPS, letting us think we are freely and privately browsing the internet and collecting our IP traffic.. and having us pay for it.

I mean if I was a evil psychopath... I would have thought of it!

Even snowden doesn't truly trust VPNs, And he would know.. he still uses extra layers of encryption on top.

the whole world knows your name, email and credit card number. good VPNs like express cannot trace your data even if they wanted to. i'm sure there is a potential risk but for the average punter it helps them do what they want to do and the seriously criminal will find other means

All of the big ones (NordVPN, Express, IPVanish, Vyper) require you to atleast give them your Name & Name.

Using Nord as an example, as this was a recent deal here, you give them an email (hopefully not your everyday googlemail address) and pay by crypto. No name, no credit card, and if they are smart it will be a single use email address that is not 'your' email in the sense that it is normally linked to you..

What most people are giving them is their home IP address but that is a different problem entirely.
