Wooow
still less sugar per 100ml then coke and 80% of other fizzy drinks but saying it contains sucrose instead of sugar is a bit pathetic
beware: SUGAR overdose..
Do you get 12 bottles for this price
excellent thanks. these are £3 each at my gym. Strawberry same price

So long as you're doing a proper workout 50g of sugar is fine...

It seems like the necessity of post-workout carbohydrates is one of the … It seems like the necessity of post-workout carbohydrates is one of the best keep fitness secrets.Everyone knows that your body needs protein after hitting the gym – but many people overlook the importance of post-workout carbs. When taken after a workout, carbohydrates restore muscle glycogen. And if you don’t eat carbs in your post-workout recovery meal, your body may actually break down existing muscle for this very same purpose. And yes, even if you are on a low-carbohydrate diet, you still need to consume carbs after you exercise. The sugars in your protein shake are carbohydrates, and so it sounds like your shake is designed specifically for post-workout consumption. If, on the other hand, you’re looking for general protein supplementation (i.e., some protein before bed), then it’s wise to seek out a lower carb alternative.Experts recommend anywhere from 40 up to 70 (or more) grams of carbs after a workout; the 50 grams of sugar in your shake do the trick.Interestingly, the best carbs to consume are those that are absorbed the quickest. The carbohydrates found in multi-grain bread, for example, break down slowly. After a workout, your body needs to carbs fast – so simple sugars, like those in your shake, are the best approach. Yes, I just gave you a green light to eat simple sugars. But only after a workout.

Considering everyone is lactose intolerant to some degree, downing 50g of lactose sugar seems like a bad idea for more than just health reasons.
Are these going to be short dated?

Yeah, this would most likely kill me. There are so many healthier ways to get your post workout carbs. With sugar being 4 calories per 1 gram and an rda of around 150 calories of all sugars per day, these drinks are well over the recommended amounts. Just have some vegetables people!

The idea is you use these after strenuous exercise or working out when your body is depleted of glucose and glycogen.
The the glucose is to refill your glycogen reserves, aid recovery and start the growth process.

Glucose definitely has its place in sports nutrition.

There are much better ways to restore glycogen stores than smashing a sugary milkshake down your chops!

Definately.
Personally Id make my own dextrose and whey protein shake. Was just trying to point out that 50g of fast acting sugars after a workout does have advantages.
I orded these, turned up this morning as a single bottle!!! anyone else had this issue?

Yes, you are right, but this product has sucrose, which is a mixture of fructose and glucose. This is refined white sugar, with virtually all the positive benefits of glucose as a carb source removed (fibre, vitamins, minerals). This drink is similar to just having a can of coke im afraid.

I've just checked a coke bottle and I'm afraid you ain't gonna get 50g of protein out of it. Fast absorbing carbs with easily available protein are of benefit post w/o.
