these are Duracell plus and ultra.

it might be a good price for plus and ultra but do they last twice as long than batteries costing half the price?

It says to check out the minimum order is £25.

B and m sell packs of 10 Panasonic batteries for £1 each!!!

So you could buy 50 batteries for same price. Even if Duracell are twice as good you still end up with far more

Those Panasonic ones are rubbish though, anything vaguely demanding goes through them like crazy.

Yes I've bought such Panasonic batteries before, based on the quality of their other products and been disappointed, and that takes some doing with a basic AA or AAA battery.

16 kodak batteries for £1 from poundland

not always best to go cheap. Home Bargains 12 Duracel Simply for £3. popped 4 in a furby xmas day and they lasted until boxing afternoon and not really full on play?!?!

i put some of the ultra power ones in a furby connect Xmas Eve , been going strong since, if they run out soon I will say.

Are these still on offer at Sainsbury's ???

They are trash and not actual Panasonic though. If you're in B+M then grab the Philips NRG alkaline ones - they're 32 (or more if there's a % extra free pack) for £6 and decent for what they are. Not as good as Kodak's from Poundland though.

Very interested to read that Duracell appear to supply inferior formula batteries to Poundland, with no outside indication that they differ to those sold in supermarkets.

They're different on the back of the pack - I'm fairly sure they're made in a different country.

Kodak xtralife @ 6 for £1 from poundland are the best value ones to get it seems.

12 Duracell plus AA for 5 are also in home base.

Shoppers would have to be pretty clued up to know.

Incidentally I bought some alleged Duracell 'eneloop' from a discount store (Quality Save).. they matched the criteria specified on forums, packing, white top etc... however they don't perform any better than other NIMH batteries I own and from a charge of 1.5v, drop to 1.3v just sitting overnight. I wonder if these were also different formula.

I thought the cheapo Duracell's were just called 'Simply Duracell' .
