snap it up for the world cup

Ideal for the World Cup in the summer

No. Dont buy this.

It will offend our ethnic minority friends if they see this up anywhere.

How dare us

British by birth, English by the Grace of God.

Got my flags and bunting in already but might get some more.

Come on England

Oh good grief you'll have the ethnic minority up in arms and preaching in the streets again and 'hooky' hamza will be vindicated.........................I'd paint my house that colour if it would work and rid the country of the freeloaders.

if it was a scottish flag i may think about buying it....

Heat, will buy some. I can just see the faces on some people round here.....yes I am too British for the likes of some including local and central government policies........

Now I just hope that I can use these more than I did my flags etc during the last international tournament.

Oh shut up, thats just a myth spread around by people determined to jump on the "anti-PC" bandwagon.

Have you EVER met anyone (living/staying in England) offended by the placement of the English flag in England? I certainly haven't.

Code does not work for me.....

I got a lot of reduced priced flags and bunting from Sports Direct. Bought it a couple of months before England qualified for 2010 was dirt cheap. No doubt prices will increase up to 2010

Freeloader as mentioned above are you?

You posted it on a public forum...

The rest I have no idea what your going on about.

As to the "wait until next summer" comment, whats happening next summer that hasn't happened before? In previous years, all the fuss was about councils etc. complaining in case it offended other people. I don't recall any instances of people actually complaining that they are offended.

Haha - you know it is rumours that ethnic minorities are offended. It's spread by middle classes, imo, to cause tension.

It is true that councils do not allow you to attach a flag to your house - but that is because it is to stop a precedent of people putting adverts up. You're more than welcome to put an actual flag pole up.

I have an england flag on the back of my car and I also have a year round tan.

so because you havent met anyone it isnt true??? lol.. few people OPENLY stated it offended them round here thanks ;-)

(along the lines of the convo here) My brother was once pulled by the police and asked to remove an english flag from his back parcel shelf.....It was actually there to cover over his upgraded speakers so they couldnt be seen from outside but the copper said the flag could be racially offensive......was a complete joke!!!!

And your point is? That flag is offensive, full stop.
Evokes images of knuckle dragging a..eho..s marauding through, and trashing the towns and cities of other countries on their way to watch a football match.
I am now going to hide somewhere for the next few hours to avoid the flack.

I didn't say "it doesn't happen". I'm just saying, including on the hundreds of news reports about it, I've never heard anyone - or know anyone who knows anyone - who gets openly offended by the English flag.

Right, so a few people around your area said so. Likewise, that doesn't make the problem a nationwide problem as was obviously implied in this thread (and in general). Out of interest, did those people just say it offended them, or did they want them taken down. If it was the latter, I hope they were quizzed about why they are living here if they find our national symbol so insulting.

You will probably find that most of them would cowardly write to the council to complain about it, who in turn would enforce a policy on the individual who was simply being patriotic and proud to be English.
