Cold.

I'd rather pay £8 for a return train ticket into town and stand in a queue for 7 hours with 3 screaming kids in toll so we can buy it for £5...
I dunno. Without the rioting it's just no fun.

I guess I am just a people person.

Couldn't believe those Pathetic parents who were on various news channels saying " What do I tell my kids" or " How am i gonna explain to them" when the Build a bear farce happened the other day!!!

Yeah you should never make promises especially if you don't arrive mega early and still expect to walk in 🙈. We went for 9:30 as our Outlet store was meant to open at 10 (they chose to open at 9). We only queued cos it was indoors and all the kids were playing together happily. The queue was moving alright until we got near the front too. 3 hrs for us. Had I known beforehand I wouldn't have done it. Expected 2 tops. But as long as the kids aren't unhappy or at risk there is no harm I suppose . She got 2 for £3 total so it made it worth our while .

Yeah teach them Life isn't always straightforward and some times there are disappointments and it isn't the end of the world .
Buy them a ice cream .
Children are resilient and their attention span is short, as a parent you should know/realise this and work around it...............
Glad to know your girl wasn't traumatised by the experience which only goes to prove my point And I noticed she had great interaction with other children there .....

Trouble is with parents they hype it up and promise them their favourite characters. I only told my daughter we're getting a bear. That way if only brown bears were left at least I never overpromised her. Luckily they had them all still and Poppy the Troll is one of her faves ATM . Yeah she loves making friends and making up role play games. Usually she's the ice cream lady . But I would never put her through a hard time or in bad condition like loads did in other areas! And I would never have bothered if the queue was as long as it was half hour after we got there!
Amazing advertising campaign by build a bear I must say. And like sheep the british public fell for it

Online only offer. Voucher instore only.. Oh well.
I don’t understand this deal. Isn’t the point of build a bear the experience of building a bear?Getting an ugly bear for £12 online without the novelty factor sounds pretty crap.

then it's not a deal for you

Enlighten me then. Who is it a deal for? Build a bear bears are ugly - if you aren’t going instore for the novelty of making one why would any child want that? I can’t think of a single child who will be thrilled to get a bear from build-a-bear that they didn’t build themselves.

£12 instore - fine, I’d agree that could be considered a deal. But I don’t agree £12 for a crappy, cheap looking bear is a deal

edit because it’s not even £12 - it’s £16 with postage.

I have 3 who received one without going to the store and love them.

So take a chill pill and get a bear to cuddle, might make you less grumpy

Perhaps - but I’d rather cuddle something soft, well made and adorable.

But I suppose some people are taken in by clever advertising. This is clearly the deal for them. Enjoy
Stupid parents complaining oh we had to travel 30 miles then had to wait hrs in queue only to be refused in, well just pay full price for then and don’t gothrough that hassle, pathetic.

Yup and kids in Yemen are starving to death whilst ours are 'suffering' the 'hardship' of not getting a stuffed bear.
Wonder if people will wait 6 hours for this deal.

Im with you. Its a brand that people go nuts for. I guess you can always go into the shop and buy accesssories etc but otherwise its an expensive teddy. A deal none the less however.
Standing in line for hours was unbearable! - no brief paws for refreshments.... I'm surprised I didn't lapse into a kuma through sheer boredom.
