That offer with the Dusted Lemon Sole Fillets is an absolute con at £2.18 I went in no less than 4 stores last week having seen the tag on shelf but no stock in Leeds, the guy packing stock in openly admitted we have never sold it in this branch only the smaller pack
and this was echoed by a woman who said likewise we havent had that pack size ever before,Barnsley,Wakefield also had price tags and said they had never sold it despite having a tag for it and Sheffield Fargate said it was months since they last sold it. Its a ploy of M&S to print tags for every store "just in case" a mis-diverted box full of them ever got sent to the wrong store to cover all bases. So don't think you have missed out in all likelihood they never carried it in the first place guys.

If the store is not catalogued for that item of stock, they should not be putting the ticket on the shelf, this is the Stores fault ,not M&S.

Wakefield tell me they do it so the person going round with the handhelds can scan the shelf tag to "try" for it from the warehouse as they do gap checking on shelves,even if they don't normally sell it apparently.

At this store, the ticket was placed above (the chest part of) the freezer which was crammed with the smaller 2 pack version, no obvious place for the 4 packs to go. I put this down to just missing it and the space getting overflowed into. But now you've said this, I'd say its almost certainly the same thing as all other items had clear and obvious gaps on the shelves (all those I've listed and the post). Good intel, out of order if this is what it looks like

Thanks for confirming some of these are, at least advertised, in other stores though!

thats exactly like Leeds and Wakefield the whole unit was awash with the 2pack version and no sign of where the 4pack would even have fitted, i can't even recall the 4pack myself been there at full price as i buy the 4pk cod ones often.
