Its an oven - so HOT by design.

It says its good for students - but it would take ages to cram an entire student into that slot.

Alternately - 'Road kill cooker'

Cool so HOT.......Bumped into HOT page

mmmmm! pizza

Far too large to fit in the oven!!!

Do you have two large staples positioned between the two screens? :-D :-D :-D

Would I get away with using this at work ?
Reason I say "get away" is because Toasters are banned from our staff canny and technically this isnt a toaster.

Lol, toasters are banned? What evil tyrant are you working for?
Nobody has used the toaster where I work in nearly 5 years, I often wonder why it's even there.

I'll be interested in the energy saving claims. It makes sense of the face of it (heating a small space vs a large one), just wonder how it compares to a well built electric fan oven (I dont have a gas oven).

If someone gets one, care to measure the current draw for certain settings? It may even pay for itslef the way things are going with leccy prices!

Im gonna order one for our burger van add pizza slices to the menu!

Why???

Think I'm gonna save myself around £25 and use a regular oven instead.....

has anyone ever tried one of these?? do they make nice pizzas??

ha i need one of these! do they work good ?

looks good to me, and some in store local

edit: but not local enough to warrant not having it delivered for £2.54! ..... took paypal aswell, result!

yep just checked and you are (almost) right ..... my paypal account is showing a total of £22.97 withdrawn!

fortunatley I dont think those pennys were life and death!

It's a toaster!

Tempted, would like to see/hear some reviews first though

EDIT - Just seen review above, even more tempted now!

why dont you use your oven at home

Easier to unwrap the pizza put it on the tray and set to 20mins ,

with the gas oven it has a larger space to heat up and u have to put the pizza directly on the shelf to get the crisp melting sensation ,,

IT WORKS FOR ME :-D

How hot does it get for those who have one? Ideally you want 250 degrees plus for a good pizza.

cool, many thx!

Hi all,
I got this last year from Viking Direct for a whopping £3.49
http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o175/hotukdeals/DSCF3112.jpg

I know its not identical, but the principle is the same. Its absolutely brilliant. Use it almost every day as an oven for jacket potatoes, lasagne etc. And with the Pizza stone it does a great job of cooking Asda pizzas etc.
Heats up a lot quicker than a conventional oven too. Whilst most kitchen gadgets lurk at the back of a cupboard, this one actually has its own dedicated place on the worktop next to the microwave.
To answer a previous question, mine uses 1550W. Highly recommended device!

£3-49? Is that a typo? I searched Viking Direct for "grill", "oven", "cooker" and even "pizza" but couldn't find one of these.

Would you be kind enough to post the make and model please?

No, not a typo, cost me £3.49 from Viking. But as i said above i bought it LAST YEAR in clearance.
It is a Hinari Perfect Pizza Plus. Model MOPZ188.

Just wanted to add to the thread how useful these things are. Must have saved me a fortune in electric compared to using the full size oven.
