12 months contract.

If you go through tesco phone shop you also get £20 gift card, which is a sure thing. On the top of that you get 1000 tesco points (worth £10 in store or £30 in deals). This will mean: £120 -£20 - £30= £70 for 12 months. You can also try getting quidco, which should be another £35 if successful.
This will take it down to £35 for 12 months.

My quidco has tracked, but quidco can or cannot be successful. With this deal at least you get £20 gift card plus points. If quidco tracks even better!

I got the 3 £10 pm, 100 mins, 3000 texts, 1gb rolling contract deal through Tesco a couple of weeks ago. I asked about the gift card but was told it was only for the 12 month contract. However, yesterday I got a £20 gift card in the post.

Lucky!

I signed up to this deal on the 3 website and got the £20 voucher last week so you don't have to go to Tesco..

Where's the £35 Quidco from? I can't see it on Quidco for Tesco or Three.

good deal as my 3 contract is ending and they are only offering a worse deal than the one i'm on

would you get clubcard points going through tesco?

According to the quidco site:

About Tesco Phone Shop
Tesco Phone Shop offers you a variety of pay monthly mobile phones for the top mobile networks all at great Tesco value. PLUS get 1000 Clubcard points!

So basically £20 gift card plus 1000 worth £30, that makes £50 already back. If you get quidco for £35 you have a total of= £120-85= £35, which works out £2.91 a month.
Without quidco= £120-£50= £70 which is £5.83 not bad at all.

Yes 1000 points are worth £10 in store, but you could convert them in many deals for £30 (for example I like to get pizza express so can have a nice feed there, or ba miles)

It's not BA Miles it's Airmiles. Having collected many thousands of them over the years (largely through Tesco) I now find they're virtually worthless. Free flights are exceptionally hard to get - they just want to sell you paid for flights and hotels at prices you can often get cheaper without the Miles!

You can also get BA miles, I order them all the time tesco.com/clu…237

I just like to get the miles as sometime if needed the tickets ordered with the miles can be cancelled/changed at any time so it's handy when you don't know the exact date.

We have been with 3 the last couple of years. I was with them before but network back then was appaling. Now it's very good. Personally I was in two minds whether to get giffgaff or 3 as my 18 months contract with 3 is due to expiry. As I have no network issue with 3 and 1gb will be plenty for me and also because of all the cashback (therefore cheaper than the £10 giffgaff) I have just ordered this deal. I will let you know what happens with quidco. I just ordered so it hasn't tracked yet.

tempting, it is a good deal, i've got a pay as you go sim with Asda mobile, can i port my asda number across?

Thank you very much for your reply

Dont think you'll get quid-co as it states this..on the right hand side under cashback stats.

Useful things to know

# Cashback is not eligible on Tesco Mobile and Pay Monthly SIMS
# PAYG Sales and Accessories are from Tesco Direct
# Cashback is not available on iPhones

* Members should only use voucher codes listed on Quidco. If you use voucher codes that are not listed on Quidco your cashback may not track or be declined.

* Cashback may only be paid on the basket value excluding VAT & delivery.

cheers for your reply sconto, tempted i must say.

Cashback isnt on topcashback either so i think your right there chegwin

that's right Cashback is not eligible on Tesco Mobile and Pay Monthly SIMS
note = Tescos mobile and pay monthly sims, i think you'll find it means Tescos pay monthly sims.

You are dreaming. Tesco is getting kickbacks for this, and paying them in vouchers. There is no way that you will get quidco on this deal, because Tesco is already taking the kickback monies.

And Tesco vouchers are not worth 3 times on deals - that only applies for deals that are overpriced anyway.

It is still a decent deal, but it will cost you 120 pounds, not 10, probably 90 after kickbacks.

Cold just for the bad maths.

Cheers for that - I didn't realise there was a separate Tesco Phone shop page.

USE Three at all costs - best signal for many people and great Asian doods on Customer Service compared with Orange !

Hi.

I got a similar deal with 3 but instead of the £20 voucher and 1000 tesco points go through "Topcashback" and got £54.54 and it tracked through within 24hrs..obviously payment from Tcashback will take a few months but worth a punt for a 12 month deal..

Thanks (heat added) I went for this one....Quidco has tracked at £35....whether I get it or not who knows (won't hold my breath), but that said £120 less £20 gift voucher plus the 1000 Tesco points (£10) ....for a 300 minute deal with data....well, you can't go wrong. (that's about £7.50 per month even without the Quidco)

For all the people moaning about my maths or reading skills: cashback is not payable to monthly sim. That means the ones that last ONLY 1 MONTH. That seems obvious if you are paying a tenner you can't expect £35 back!

Secondly I have put down all the info with or without quidco. Quidco is never a sure thing, so here at least you get £20 plus points. If quidco tracks even better!

Mine just tracked I will post screenshot soon.

I've used Three PAYG for a few years now with no problems and good 3G coverage (though my area is rubbish on all networks). I agree that the support people are useless, but then again that seems to be the norm these days. While you've been treated badly, I believe any other provider could have done this just as easily. They all care about just one thing... and it ain't us!

Yeah, you tell 'em!

Does anyone know when this will expire? Especially the quidco.

thanks in advance

Can anyone tell me if the tariff prices on the Tesco site are correct, because the tariffs for making phone calls are different to those on the Three website ?

Also can I buy the sim card at a local branch of Tesco or is it only available online ?

No idea I reckon the three one is correct, but probably Tesco should be contacted direct. Not sure if in store they do the same price plans, but also why not try getting quidco? I reckon is worth a punt as it's £35.

Three is fine. It still gets a underserved bashing though. They've improved vastly. It certainly ain't o2 in terms of quality network coverage, but it's perfectly acceptable.

This deal is just okay because it's a 12 month contract. I'm on the same deal on a rolling monthly contract but with 2gb internet. 3000 3-3 minutes is awesome.

Look at this: ukmobilecoverage.co.uk/best

Seems as the best coverage is 3, orange and T-mobile. I know that when 3 has no coverage they rely on orange, perhaps they can just use each other plus T-mobile all the time, hence they have the same coverage which is 93% 3g and 99% 2g.

Original Poster

Anyway today I called three to arrange the old number moved over to new sim. Strangely enough you still need a pac code then call from new sim and get it transferred over. They are so pushy though, this guy was trying to sell me a much worse contract (at least for my needs), basically 900 minutes or text and 500mb internet. I am a very light user (probably get by with 300 sms and 150 minutes a month, about 500mb internet), so I couldn't see the point of that contract (£12 including either a nokia 6120 or samsung u900, locked in for 24 months). I had to insist saying I just wanted to move and finally got a pac code via sms.

You're lucky, T-Mobile make you port the number out to another network then port it back to your new contract.

On another note, I have only just signed up to Quidco. I bought this contract and received an email saying it's tracked and they are going to take the £5 yearly fee out of it but when I goto my account it's not there. Is there usually a delay between the email and it showing on the website?
