No data, but for the price not surprising. For £10/month on giffgaff Pay as you go you get 250 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited data. It's pay as you go but still a better deal.

But GiffGaff prices start at £10, do they not? So for someone who knows they'll be on this for at least 12 months, is there anything cheaper than £7.50?

Not voted on this deal, but for info as an existing Virgin Mobile customer I was offered 400 minutes, 3000 texts, and 1GB data for £6.25 on a 12 month contract. There may be better deals out there I guess, but maybe you need to be an existing customer???

Does it matter? Just top up £10 a month, not hard.

It's just people would rather pay only £2.50 more for (on contract) at least 1GB data and a few more minuets. For example Tesco have 500/mins and 500MB data for £10, and some companies have the same/slightly better deals too.

He's on your side. He's saying the deal is cold because GiffGaff doesn't need a contract.

Most people who go to the effort of getting a GiffGaff SIM are in it for the long haul (e.g. at least 12 months) anyway.

£2.50 per month might not seem huge, but £30 a year is not to be sniffed at, especially when you're looking for the cheapest deal possible, without data.

As it happens I found this deal because my missus wants a SIM only deal with lots of texts. She barely calls, and doesn't ever use internet, so this will be perfect unless someone can prove otherwise (sorry yorkie, but "if you're an existing customer" doesn't count!).
