12 month Xbox live Gold Membership - Region Turkey (VPN Required) £22.99 CDKeys

This is how to do the gamepass trick

1. Buy upto 3 12 months Xbox live gold codes (region doesn't matter eg Turkey, Brazil etc)

2. Download Windscribe VPN and connect to the country your Membership is for (Any other vpn will do but i prefer Windscribe)

3. Open incognito mode and go to this link redeem.microsoft.com/

4. You'll be prompted to sign in

5. Redeem all the codes and turn off auto renew if prompted

6. Disconnect from VPN

7. Go to xbox.com/en-…ass

8. Buy gamepass and you'll be told your live gold will be converted to gamepass

You must have an inactive xbox gamepass membership to do this

when I quit my VPN and went to the game pass site to upgrade, I did get the region error initially but it turns out I was on xbox.com/en-US - switching the url to xbox.com/en-GB fixed this for me and I was able to upgrade successfully, worth a try for anyone struggling.

I thought I'd share a step by step guide on how to convert this Xbox Live Gold to Game Pass Ultimate since the comments suggest a great deal of interest in this area:

Before you begin:
1 - Make sure your previous Games Pass Ultimate (GPU) subscription has expired/ ended.
2 - You have a VPN handy. A free one to use is Hola VPN. Test to see if it works for you before proceeding.

Step 1

If you have TopCashback use your account to get you to the CD Keys page and search for '12 MONTH XBOX LIVE GOLD MEMBERSHIP (TURKEY)'. Add 1-3 of these to your basket.

Optional Tip: I usually add everything in my basket beforehand on a website and then click on the Topcashback referral link so that I'm not trying to search for the things I need from the landing page via Topcahsback (hope that makes sense).



Step 2

- Complete your purchase. I bought 1 to test if this works first but later bought 2 more to make it 36 months.
- Go to redeem.microsoft.com/ and log in to your Microsoft account.



Step 3

- Get your code/ codes from CD Keys.
- Connect to a VPN in Turkey.
Note: I used Private Internet Access VPN for this step.



Step 4

- Make sure you are on the Turkey VPN.
- Redeem the code or multiple codes on redeem.microsoft.com/ (you should still be logged into your MS account from Step 2).


Step 5

- Check your account here to make sure your subscription has been updated.


Step 6

- Disconnect from the VPN
- Go to the Xbox Game Pass wite: xbox.com/en-US/xbox-game-pass
- Click on 'Join Ultimate' (not 'See Plans')


Step 7

- Click on Join.
- You will have to pay £10.99 for the first month, however, all of your Xbox Live Gold balance will be converted 1:1 to GPU.



Step 8

- Check your MS account and give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back. You beat the machine!

Note: I turned off recurring billing at this point.


Conclusion:

Total cost for 3 years of GPU using this method:

- 3 x Turkish Xbox Live Gold Gift Cards @ £22.99 each
- 1 month of GPU @ £10.99
- Received £1.51 cashback from TCB

Total Cost = £78.45 equivalent to £26.15 per year!

Yeah buy it as normal. Then when using a VPN go to redeem.microsoft.com and redeem it there. Obviously make sure you're logged into your Microsoft account you use on your Xbox.

I find it easier logging into Microsoft first before using the VPN, don't have to mess around with translating pages

Microsoft know about this and officially allow account subscription conversion. This is all completely legit, so Turkish prisons will have to wait for you to commit a real crime

It's very iffy still but I sometimes manage to get to the next part of the redeem process where it shows what the code is a few times and finally managed to redeem 1 of the codes (I spoofed geo and changed language just to test but I got to the next part without them)

I'm doing this on phone, copy and pasting the code and getting the error then using my SwiftKey keyboard I go to the paste icon and tap the code until the error disappears and it allows me to continue. Then comes the 2nd error code saying its their side that's the issue.

Edit: 2nd and 3rd codes went through. You'll know when its working as it'll take a while to load the next partSo it does work still, just keep trying and good luck to everyone.

Just done it and can confirm it works . 24.49 for a years ultimate

The Turkey deal ran out for me but I found another hack to get 5 X 6 months Xbox live gold for £17 (+ free month) gave me 35 months...then brought a £7 game pass ultimate to convert it all...no VPN needed and now I'm signed up til 2024! Can't wait for FH5

You should be able to do it twice using the £1 upgrade. When you've used your two £1 trials you will have to use normal codes. Maybe a 2 week code or something should work. I bought one for £7 on ebay once as long as its not a trial code.

Did this last week and then bought a 7 day gpu pass from eneebu or whatever it is for £3. 3 years game pass ultimate for like 68. Bargain. (edited)

I had previously used the £1 offer (albeit back when it was only available in the insider rings) but I can see the offer on the Xbox Windows 10 app.

My GPU has been expired for months now so that may be why I can see this deal but it might be worth trying there. (edited)

Used to be twice but if you are not being offered it means you will have to pay for the non trial codes. You might be able to get a £7 code online somewhere, again just make sure it is not a trial.

I've purchased 3 x 12 months xbox live gold memberships (turkey) for £22.99 each and 1 month xbox game pass ultimate (turkey) for £4.49. All from cdkeys for a total of £73.46. I redeemed all the codes with windsribe turned on and connected to a turkish server.

CD Keys is solid, so I wouldn't worry about the keys being expired. Also you don't know when these will disappear from stock.

Hi, I've just done this - worked a treat.

Bought 3x 12 months XBOX Gold Live from CDKeys (which kept rejecting my card, which was annoying, but nvm).
logged into vpn via Turkey, logged into redeem.microsoft.com, redeemed the three codes. Then logged out of vpn, went to xbox.com/en-…ass, clicked on join ultimate, it gave me the option for a £1 trial, then it upgraded my 36 months of gold live to game pass ultimate.
Just explaining in a different way, as it took me a long time to wrap my head around (doesn't help that my Series S is still in the post, and I've not used my xbox account since the 360 days...).

However, I did something stupid - I bought a 1 month turkish Game Pass Ultimate card from CD keys, but I can't use it (as MS will only let you stack up 36 months of membership at a time). If this is any good to anyone (it'll get you a month of GPU for free, you just need to redeem the code logged into a VPN into Turkey), please DM me and it's yours for free, as it's no use to me! I've not tried the Turkey prepaid code for the ultimate pass. you could just try and get a 1 day ultimate key from somewhere or just go straight up like I did and pay £10.99
