think i'll be looking into this... thankyou

seems a good deal to me just to get it for 12 months cancel and you have freesat in bedroom, may go for this myself pity you cant seem to get the £40 quidco as well. hot

Just had mine installed this morning. I paid £49.00 for the new box with much more memory and had my old sky +hd box put in my bedroom so can record on both boxes. This new box is usually upto £300 + £60 instillation. So makes more sense to have Multi-room and pay for a new box. There is 2 places you can put to upgrade the box when purchasing do it as though your upgrading your old box and the same time as getting multi-room much cheaper than putting it as a new multi-room box x

We phoned up yesterday but they didn't offer us this deal! Will phone them again later

it comes up £5.62 per month lol!

thru wouldn't give it me over the phone had to do it online x

Does anyone know will this increase our current contract to 12 months or would the 12 month contract only be on the extra multiroom, so say I wanted to cancel the whole package in 2 months could I just pay off the £56 to cancel? Sorry it's so long winded. Haha.

I'll see if I can change this later, as the multiroom box has no on demand funtion so would be willing to pay the upgrade fee.

Don't quote me on this but usally Sky treat things as one single contract meaning your 12 months starts again on everything you have.

sounds complicated lol...best to take that up with sky CS

Posted couple weeks ago this deal. Its online only I think. £40 quidco or something also.

would this be the same as multiroom in that both boxes need to be connected tothe main phone line at all times?

also is multiroom a recordable box and multiscreen a non recordable box?

I think it does need to be connected to a phone line. This one is not a recordable box, no on-demend, just an standard HD box.

Just got the deal! Thanks OP!!!

Just don't bother asking about it on Live Chat, as they haven't got a clue about the offer!!!!!

I've not had to pay anything out up front, just paying the £5 odd a month extra!

Happy bunny!!!

Ive done the deal getting installed on sat 28th, if you go via quidco this deal is no where to be seen on website so dont think you can get it with the cashback.

Not showing as half price on my account, been a customer for over 12 months, I need to ring up and cancel to get a better deal (_;)

Going to give this a go later, cheers.

What number do you contact?

Go through the link here add to basket then close page and go through quidco - the half price deal is in your basket and it tracks at £40 - I have had it installed and quidco tracked ;-) absolute bargain if you cancel after 12 months

*Excludes existing Multiscreen box households. Available on first Multiscreen/Multiroom subscription only.

Already posted... Do we really need another thread on this?

Does anyone know if existing discounts apply and continue for 12 months or those discounts finish when they're supposed to. I have half price HD till march I think.

This is a silly question, but how do they run multiroom? 2 or 1 more cables from the dish. Or from the existing box etc? thank you

So if I went for this would it end any other offers I have, i.e. half price movies for 6 months, I ask as I have gone for similar offers in the past only to lose any I already have running...

I think they info on the site states it does as they like to check it's being used in the same house!

They run more cables from the dish, so would likely need to drill through to the other room to run the cables from the dish.

i did this awhile ago, they switched my old box downstairs with the multiroom box so i had a nice new bigger capacity box as my main one and upstairs they put my old one. they do have to be connected to the phone line, the sky guy drilled through upstairs and got it all connected. plus he threw in a new remote control for my old box

sorry to push the question but it is only one cable? im only asking as im doing the attic out for my daughter and i have only run 1 cable from the dish up to it? Was hoping one cable would suffice? thanks again.

It'd be a one cable that's split into two (if you know what I mean) if the new box enables recording - i.e. it's the same as the one running to a sky+ box.

I would do this but hesitant due to the need to have both boxes connected to the telephone line, thus having to run wires between floors. Whilst with one box I don't need it connected to the telephone line lol.

you need 2 cables to be able to record one channel while switching to another channel,

one cable will work if it's a non recordable box you get as you will not be able to record anyway,

for future use a "shotgun" cable has two cables in one and that would have been your best bet when running cable to loft.

I did have it a few years ago and the second box was never connected to a phone line as we didn't have one in the other room, the box still worked ok, we just got a letters every now and again telling us to connect it, but no idea if this is possible now!

how do you get a recording box for £49?

Just out of curiosity, why are people voting cold - surely for those people who want multiroom, this is saving them money, so how can it be voted cold? I don't get this website sometimes (well some of the users anyway). Maybe if I mention flamedeers or add a link to an item found in only one shop in the UK it would get more heat....

Just ordered many thanks
