Is the streaming not that good? I only download them

Mostly not great - I haven't had more than a few minutes without lag, direction stick or major blocking.
GeForce Now & Stadia can manage Full HD and higher with minimal upset, so it's not my connection - PS Now streaming (720p) is just a bad example of the technology.

Glad I don't rely on just the streaming then. Thank the Lord for external hard drives

I've only had PS Now for around 2 months and really enjoying the available games. Hope they continue to add good titles, although July's weren't really my type.

I've mainly downloaded PS4 games but the few PS3 that I streamed have been fine, probably because of my connection speed. All in all though it's a great service and the games I've played so far have almost paid for the £30 sub during Days of Play.

At this price it gives great gaming value. And, who knows what the PS5 may bring to this.

The PS5 offerings will have to be slim, while the general PS5 offerings are slim but they should at least include the backwards compatible games that are in the service

I have heard of others having an acceptable streaming experience from PS Now... It might come down to geography (I'm in the North) - distance to the server farm is a factor in game streaming.

I've just moved to Cardiff, from Bristol which had a poor connection in general, so glad I didn't have PS Now back then, although Netflix was fine. In Cardiff I'm on a new build estate and BT have fibre to the door which probably helps a lot.

In terms of PS5, totally agree but I was thinking more in terms of how the service may evolve. Few rumours around Playstation back catalog of PS1 and PS2 for download play but PS3 will remain streaming due to the architecture of the console. Also, rumours about PS Now and PS Plus combining, similar to GamePass but when you can pick up both for around £30 each I doubt a dual service will be cheaper.

Rumours, just like the Fleetwood Mac album are probably best not listened to (no offence Mick).

Streaming works fine here, a lot of the time I forget I'm streaming a PS3/PS4 game. Racing games need to be downloaded to avoid the important input lag but the rest work fine for me.

Will games run the same as the actual retail release? I'm asking specifically about being in 4K/HDR?

Yeah I know but unfortunately can't be posted. I actually bought 2 from them a week or so ago and they were £20 then. Still, £25 is a damn good price

See i didnt have an issue with streaming on this but project Xcloud I did forza was simply unplayable. I guess its about location and ISP. Better taking up those trials if you can.

Really strange. PS Now has been completely solid for me, I was blown away by it.

I completely finished God of War on it & I didn't notice any input lag. As long as I'm not downloading anything on the PC, there are no graphical artifacts.

I do have my PS4 hooked up with an ethernet cable but I don't think that would make much of a difference.

My connection is around 45Mbps download / 20Mbps upload if that helps anyone.

I got a load of PS2 classics lined up next - can't wait to play Dark Cloud again!

Alternatively it's £23 at CDKeys for a US sub. Handy if you just want to play online on your UK account.

The streaming side totally sucks, but a great selection of games if downloading to the console, GeForce now is excellent for streaming.

Yes they do play in 4k/HDR - Spiderman looked amazing
Very cheeky
They should rebrand it all. Join PS+ with PS now(maybe even rename it)... & separate out the streaming to an x-cloud equivalent. PS now is under rated I think because it doesn't get its limelight due to streaming quality...

I get around 50/12 speed via FTTC and my PS4 Pro & desktop are wired and my laptop is on 5GHz.

Geography is the issue. Playstation purchased both Gaikai and Onlive so have quite allot of the technology patents. But the fact is Google and Microsoft have server infastructure world wide in every corner. Sony dosn't It's why sony signed a deal with microsoft for the use of servers. Hopefully in time as that deal goes live, PS Now streaming will become allot more reliable. However i find that not stadia, xcloud or PS now can properly replace the local experiance. Local play is just better and always will be. But i can see a time very shortly where the cloud game streaming services accross the board will reach a level acceptable to the mass consumer.

Just to add my own experience, it can be perfect. I get fantastic speeds on BT broadband and notice NO quality loss in visuals, fps or controller issues (via bluetooth). If you have high end dl speeds, psnow is perfect. Just have a proper dual axis 4, because a good amount of the exclusives need the touch pad and it is hard to map 100%.
