Honestly wouldn't get the most of out this I'm happy with my ps plus games
Anyone else have a backlog of games from ps+ or just physical copies and think ps now will just add to that list of unplayed games

Though do keep in mind only streaming is possible and there will be input lag due to that. Pc does not support download of games like the ps4

DS4 is natively supported on PC either by USB cable or Bluetooth.

Oh so you could literally play games meant for your PlayStation on your pc? Hope I'm not asking stupid and obvious questions. Not trolling either.

Isn't it also only a maximum resolution of 720p and in stereo only as surround sound is not supported by streaming ?
Not all PS4 games are included on PC.

I have tried it in a long time I remember 4 years ago it did not have native support and I needed to download special program to do the button configurations

Yes you can. It’s just streaming from PlayStation network to your pc. But you must have a PS4 controller to play games because PlayStation now doesn’t map DualShock 4 keys to pc keyboard
they should just do playstation now ultimate that has psplus and ps now plus has every ps4 exlcusive on there
I got it for £30 beat that!

Not exactly. Some games (mainly the more modern game) support PS4 controllers in plug and play. Any game that doesn't have native support, you just have to download DS4Windows, which emulates the PS4 controller as an Xbox Controller, which works with 99% of controller-based games.

No phone necessary.

I use a DS4 exclusively on PC via software called DS4W.

It works better than my Xbox One controller.

You only need a DS4 for a handful of the games on PS Now. The majority work perfectly with any HID input compliant controller. An Xbox One controller for example.

Can this be used on a nvidia shield!!
I had it for a year and hardly used it, but that said others might. Better value than the Sony price though

No, but streaming on PC is only 720p. It's stupid because it will give PC gamers the idea that games look terrible on ps4
Clipsan05/10/2019 13:13

That's correct but it wont work with PS Now or Remote Play with bluetooth because Sony want you to buy their pointless usb connector for it.

Streaming is 720p on PS4 too but you do get the option to download PS4 games on a PS4
Since the price drop, I've been mulling over getting the sub for myself but due to game-sharing and cut-price credit, I've managed to get through quite a few games since getting a PS4 at launch The games that I haven't played in PS Now don't massively interest me so I'll likely abstain...

I see PS Now's ideal customers as casual non-Sony gamers - people who don't have a PlayStation, have a rubbish laptop but want to play PlayStation games.
There's also huge appeal for people who only just got a PS4 but there won't be as many people who fit into that category.

Heat for the deal - Sony competing with Game Pass at last

Oh man. Deal breaker for me that. Wth. 720p. Are we like in 2005 again?

That's so poor I can't believe nobody mentioned it until now.

There's no reason for them not to allow 1080p streaming for those with good connection. Maybe it'll happen in the future as they've signed up with Microsoft for servers

Until then I'll be staying away. That's crazy bad though. No reason for it I agree. Microsoft or not. People have decent connections out there and they can still support 480p or 720p for those that don't have it.
There's a 7 day free trial. I'd suggest anyone who's not sure about the service try that first.

If you own a PS4 and you've not played a lot of the games on the service (like me) then it's a great deal.
I wanted to try this at work on my terrible laptop but I've used a trial before so I'd have to pay when it might not even work right.

This is a cracking deal but I have to agree with all the games in my library now I'm a very happy Chappy. All those games have been collected over the years so not for me but for fresh meat to the Playstation scene I wouldn't think twice.

Remote play is just as frustrating. If you want 1080p then you need the PS4 PRO
