12 months Taste Card from as little as £2

Found 27th Nov 2012
I needed a taste card as we use Zizzi quite a bit (love their Polpette Spinaci), but didn't like the idea of spending £30 on it.
iSubscribe have an offer on: If you order 2 titles, then you get a free 12 MONTH TASTE CARD. You can order from as little as £1 per title. The only thing you need to do is to remember to cancel the direct debit. I write the cancellation letter to my bank as soon as I subscribe, leave it by the door and pop it in the post 2-weeks later.
If you click on the iSUBSRIBE logo and then go to the SPECIAL OFFERS page, you'll see which titles are £1 (i.e. Junior, Practical Parenting, Self Build, Clash, Money Observer etc). Or pay a little more and get something you'd actually like to read...
My second ever post. My first one went to 101 degrees. I'm very hopeful that this exciting and delectable deal will make it over 500 degrees. With your help... (Please? What if I pay you? Joking!)

I cant see any at £1 per title, cheapest is 'oldie' at £3
Whoops! Slight mistake above: OK! and Rock Sound aren't £1 (but Practical Parenting, Self Build, Clash, Money Observer etc are)

Click on the isubscribe logo at the top and then slect "special offers" on the panel at the side.

Remember; it is not £1 per issue you want - it is £1 for the whole subscription you need to look for
I would also love to get a tastecard for 2 pounds!

I have been on the wesite and I am not sure how you see 1pound issues? Is this under "price per issue" or "our price"??

Also when can you cancel the subscription as some are for 3, 6 months etc? And are there any fees?

Once you are on the special offers page, if you SORT BY PRICE; you'll see that that are 8 subscriptions that can be had for £1 each, and a further 8 that can be had for £3 per subscription (if you want to treat yourself)

To find the CHEAP subsriptions:

1) CLICK on the iSUBCRIBE logo at the top left corner

2) On the panel at the right, click on SPECIAL OFFERS

3) Then SORT BY PRICE

4) Pick the ones you want, add them to your basket and it will automatically add the taste card

Thanks - but I need HEAT (I'm freezing here).
Don't forget 10% from TopCashback.
If you choose to pay by Direct Debit your payments will be spread into easy, manageable 3, 6 or 12 monthly payments. As Direct Debit is a continuous payment method you are in complete control of your subscription as well as eliminating the need for renewal notices.

Please note that the publishers stipulate a 12 month minimum term for all Direct Debit orders.

Good spot.
I thought I was onto a winner some weeks ago when I looked into this.

The cheapest method is direct debit, with a minimum of 1 year subscription!

The oldie magazine will cost £12, 4 x £3, Glamour is £12 for the year so ultimately the tastecard will cost £24.

Yes you could cancel the direct debits but it's an agreement with the publisher!

TRANSFERS, RENEWALS & CANCELLATIONS
Can I cancel my subscription/s?
Yes, in some circumstances, you may cancel your subscription.

If you cancel your subscription within 48 hours of placing it, iSUBSCRiBE will provide a full refund. This is applicable to orders placed for UK, European, United States and International delivery within 48 hours of order.

If you request a cancellation more than 48 hours after placing your order iSUBSCRiBE will not offer a refund. Any cancellations may only be processed by the individual publisher at their discretion. Each publisher has slightly different terms on refunds. Some publishers will refund in full, some in part, and some not at all. We are happy to advise you on refunds so please do get in touch.

Please be aware that refunds are not available for European, United States and International orders cancelled after more than 48 hours.

Also please note, as directed by the publishers, all direct debit purchases have a minimum term of 12 months.
If you choose Muscle&Fitness for £5 for 5 issues it says you get 5 free training dvds too!!:p
Jus spoke to ISubscribe they say that after the initial period you have to cancel with with the publisher. I then called;

Practical Parenting is published/delivered by Immediate Media Co London. Immediate Media Co London can be contacted on 01795 414 746

They adviesd that once you set up the order they send you a letter to confirm when the payments are due - once the initial payment has been taken (ie 1 pound for three months) you can cancel the direct debit at least 7 working days before the next payment is due (or earlier) and there is no problem.. Obviously remember to cancel with your own bank also!

Sorted.
Bought a tastecard fo my bro-in-law last week for £29.99 as a xmas gift, thought I got a good deal, agree this is awesome another gift sorted. Cheers x
It does work.

To help those who are struggling, like I did, to pick the right/cheapest publications - I went with Money Observer (£1 for 3 months) + Money Week (4 issues for free). you need at least 2 in the cart for Free taste card. Cancel direct debit, if you wish, for which, or for both, when you receive your first issue.
I,ve just sent myself an email to remind me to cancel and how to go about it!!!
While they can't take the DD payments if its cancelled, there is still the risk of them chasing the payment otherwise, in accordance with their terms.

Not gonna bother. There'll be another/better tastecard deal soon!

I'm not sure if you work for iSUBSCRIBE (it sounds like you do from your post)?

I don't think that what you have said is right. For instance, one of the magaiznes that I subsribed to was TES. It says, 6 issues for £1. It says that when I add it to my basket. If I needed to subscribe to 12 months, then it would have to tell me that upfront. It doesn't, so I can cancel after those 6 issues. I've never had any problems cancelling my direct debits with the bank in the past, and I've done a lot of these trial subsriptions in the past.
I don't mean to criticise, but there is a lot of scare mongering that goes in when it comes to things like this: When I write to my bank to cancel a direct debit, my bank has to accept that and cancel it - immediately.
this is a 12 months subscription term deal isnt it??????

really. gyms dont allow this, or is this a away out?
really. gyms dont allow this, or is this a away out?
Look - I don't know all of the different forms of contract and the specifics of contract law, but this is just a magazine subscription. If you cancel with your bank, then the direct debit is cancelled. Maybe, if they could prove that you had signed a commitment to 12 months, then publisher could possibly take you to court - but I think that's pretty unlikely as what is the point of having a 6 months trial subscription if you are forced to keep it for 12 months. Not a trial really then is it?

Secondly, one of the other posts said they phones iSUBSCRIBE and they siad it is okay to cancel before the next payment is due. So really, what more assurance do you need. Phone them yourself if you like.
Ok just took the plunge and went for it. Hopefully I'm right in saying I will get the tastecard for £1 by doing the following:

Ordered Money Week - £0 for 1 issue then cancel order before 2nd issue is due out.

Ordered Clash - £1 for 3 issues then cancel order before 4th issue is due out.

i believe this is a good deal if you can follow all the notes.. but from my point of view going to give this a miss, just to much to do,and potentially to get really expensive if not done correctly.

So wont be voting hot or cold.
very HOOOOOTTTT!!!

this is a 12 months subscription term deal isnt it??????

yes
I get one of these free with work (Natwest) and use it all the time, loads of restaurants to choose from, not just national ones but local too!

Great bargain if you can get one!
This is HOT if they don't stick to the 12 month minimum. I'm hoping that they will not 'chase' me if I just cancel the Direct Debit but it could be a bit of hassle if they don't just accept the cancellation. Could be very costly as Moneyweek is stating that they charge £17 every 3 months!
I'm going to try this tomorrow, I am going to call the ones I will subscribe to and have them send an email with the details of how to cancel and when I can cancel etc. before I place the order so I have reference in case they try to charge for 12 months...
If it needs to run for 12 months and you don't want a DD take out 2 of the cheapest 12 months subscriptions, still come out at under £10 and pay for it however you want.
cold just rang them and they said its 12 MONTHS minimum subscription!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just got 2 subscriptions for Self Build and Moneyweek for £1 and its worked! Just need to wait for 10 days for the tastecard to arrive and all good. Have some heat
I have had it for a couple of years, but in the last year the restrictions have increased massively and the restaurants I like on it, decreased. So in the last few months I have barely used it. I knew of having to book in advance, and when I look for a restaurant, always check if it's usable... there are too many restrictions and hardly anything at the weekends, so next year I will be careful and stop it from renewing automatically (oh yes. happened)
awesome deal!

Great, I am following ur method, fingers crossed!
'Agree to a minimum term of 12 months for all Direct Debit orders. All Direct Debit contracts are set up by the relevant publisher. You agree to contact the publisher if you wish to query details of its Direct Debit policy.'

Not a risk I an willing to take!!
