I would be careful of G2A. People have had their Xbox accounts banned buying from here.
Don’t do it, stolen keys and can get account banned not worth the risk
Price is incorrect, there are processing fees to add on: Card £1.69 / Paypal £1.82

Arguably the deal should be removed, I don't really think G2A listings are suitable for HUKD.
Cold, poor company with poor reputation.

Never heard of this, is this evidenced or just anecdotal?

If you buy from a good seller who has loads of feedback you are absolutely fine.

Its just a marketplace like any other such as eBay or Amazon. Buy from good sellers and be safe.

No point saying dont buy from g2a.

I have bought loads of keys from there and it has been a smooth ride. No issues whatsoever.
Not worth risking my account for the sake of a quid when it can be purchased for £29.99 from Rakuten

Indeed too many horror story's about losing your account because of market place theft and the last one I have seen was from a seller with 95% + feedback avoid
Bought from a seller with 99% feedback on this site. Account was permanently banned the following week. Managed to get my account back by providing all details of the seller, site and reciept but still not worth it.

Edit: I also got a refund from G2A after opening a case with the seller and complaining on twitter.

Someone on reddit got their xbox account banned three days ago for marketplace theft after using a key from G2A. They were able to get the ban revered thought. Definitely not worth it. reddit.com/r/x…to/
Just saw a Reddit post on /r/Xboxone where someone got a permanent ban from XBL for buying a stolen key from g2a so I would not trust these.
Do not use G2A, terrible company. If you absolutely have to order from these clowns they try at least 3 times to sign you up to different scam services. be double sure to check your bank account and spam emails for anything they have signed you up for. They will not refund

Maybe it's people like me who voted straightaway before reading the comments. I saw the price and voted hot. I didn't know it was a dodgy company.
Oh no I just bought before reading comments and put code in and now saying my card needs updating and not able to get it to renew. Is this mean it’s dodgy. Also can’t get it to renew if I just go to pay with my card. What do I need to do now. Ah man...

Good effort by op but check the reddit posts at top of page. Might get banned.

Let's be more specific - people have had their Xbox accounts banned for using keys bought with a stolen credit card that happened to be sold through G2A.

You would get your account banned for using a key bought with a stolen credit card regardless of where it was bought from - G2A, Kinguin, eBay, AV Forums, HUKD back when it had a FST section - and, conversely, not every code sold on G2A is stolen, most sellers on there are genuine.

So it's not just because they were bought on G2A, it's because they were stolen. It's a shame Microsoft aren't more sympathetic/can't be bothered to do some investigative work and realise they're banning the wrong people, but then it's also a shame G2A didn't do more to check the validity of the keys before they were sold in the first place.

Usually I would defend G2A in posts like this - I'd say you're safe enough on there as long as you check seller feedback before you buy, and you'll always get your money back if you use Paypal or G2A Shield - but if there's a risk of getting your account banned and no recourse with Microsoft then obviously, no, I wouldn't recommend using G2A for these - not worth risking your Xbox Live account.

As above - company is fine, just has their share of dodgy sellers like eBay, etc. Not sure what scam services you're referring to - there's G2A Shield which is meant to be a moneyback guarantee, but it's not really needed if you're using Paypal and you can just untick it at checkout, and they used to have a monthly bundle but I'm not sure what happened to that.

Despite always defending G2A I actually also agree with this, although possibly not for the same reasons as you. Basically, because it's a marketplace, the prices are always fluctuating and so it's not easy to say 'You can get this at this price on G2A' because a seller might run out of stock or change their price at a moment's notice. Case in point - the cheapest price for this is currently £28.75, so actually a bit cheaper than this deal says, but that seller only has one in stock so once it's sold the cheapest will be from a different seller at £29.20. eBay listings aren't allowed as deals on here for that reason, so G2A listings shouldn't be either - unless, like eBay deals on here, they're from companies recognised outside of G2A.

I wouldn't worry about that - it sounds like you have an old card that has expired and Microsoft just want you to update your payment details because they're assuming you want your subscription to auto renew after it runs out, the same way they would ask for your card details if you started a free trial of something. That doesn't mean the code is dodgy.

I use G2A myself, though I have received several invalid keys, others have been revoked at a later date. Occasionally I have been charged and received nothing though transaction errors are usually swiftly resolved.

My main concern with G2A deals appearing on HUKD would be the potential for fraud on a mass scale and policing self-promotion. If certain sellers discover they can promote themselves here I fear it could lead to serious issues.

If the mods have decided to accept the risk to HUKD's reputation, the deal posts should at least be inclusive of the payment fees.

I've bought loads from this site and always turn off g2a shield. All keys have worked and we're bought in good faith.
Never had my account banned.
I've had more issues with eBay which allows people to sell Xbox accounts but never gets bad publicity from this website.

Your deal costs over £30 with card/paypal fees (as I mentioned May 1st).
I bought 12 months Xbox live this morning off a seller on eBay for £20. The code worked. I even got a months free if I selected ‘auto renew’. I thought it might be too cheap to be true but it was good. The seller only has one negative feedback too.
