Even though it's mentioned on every P&O cruise thread, some still don't understand it.

P&O Ferries, who sacked their workers wrongly IS NOT the same as P&O cruises, who are owned by carnival. The only connection between the two is the name.

    Just to clarify that

Just like Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and Rolls-Royce Holdings (Aerospace & Defence).
Same name, but completely separate companies, people often confuse.

There are if you look around, don't expect it to be this cheap though. Should be able to find some at the £80pp/pn mark (edited)

Can you smoke on the balconies?

No. Went on this ship about 4 years ago and there were areas on the deck allocated for smoking

    Totally new to Cruise's.

Is this only a good deal if bringing children?

Is it a decent price for just two adults at £1160?

I am looking to try a cruise but wanna get a good deal in case I really dont like it and have to bale.

It's not as good, but still very decent for just 2 adults (Anything under £50pp/pn, when 2 go is great). Also, If you're only going with 2, there are plenty of other options as well. Such as a 14 Night Norway one for £564pp.

We're coming from Manchester, so we're planning on the train and to stay over local the night before....so far anyway.

This is a cracking deal. The Ventura is a fabulous ship, food is great, entertainment great and the staff are all friendly and so accommodating.
Not sure what the Bay of Biscay will be like in November …..

Yh, likely not the warmest, but should be better than here. Especially given you're on the boat most of the time

Balcony for £774 per person (2 sharing) is an excellent price too.

We have booked a cruise on Ventura for October - I think that I might leave it later to book next year and save myself a packet!

Price jumps prior to the passport information page, does it drop down again afterwards as this discount showing is minimal

Never been on a cruise and taking a good look at this. Where are the kids sleeping in the room though, it doesn’t look like there is space?
    Rmcstar's avatar

I think it's similar to bunk bends. The room in the pic isn't the same as the one you'd actually be given

having had 2 infants, that would have been my choice. There are coaches that pick up in certain places in the north west (Eavesway I think they are called) to the port, but they are not cheap.
