Yep they would last longer.

The L30BJ are AA batteries, the L29BJ in the OP are AAA

Oh hang on. The OP says the L29BJs are "AAA" size .... looks like they're really "AA"

Now I'm confused. In one place the ad. says L29BJ are "AA" ,
Map 1000mAh AA
A 12Pk
L29BJ £9.99

but further down the page it says they are "AAA" -

bloody Maplin, they don't even know what they're selling.

Ahh, right now I understand. The speed of thought through bone is not the fastest. yes, it's just badly laid out. (I take it back - they *do* know what they're selling. They just don't know how to sell it properly).

Well done for getting a 'current' and 'battery' pun in the title.

Adli have AAA 900mAh and AA 2300mAh £2.49

For how many? Would be a solar heat burst if it's for 12

good deal, but 12 rechargeable batteries are quite alot. unless i have alot of devices that take AAA i would just buy off 7dayshop. The op however does have a point it is a good price for those who want it immediately.

Way better value at Aldi.

I purchased a set of these about 6 months ago for my cordless phones, after about 3 - 4 months 2 of the phones stopped working, i took the battery cover off and found that the batteries had overheated and had melted the plastic inside the phone. They seem to be very poor quality and a potential fire hazard. I have thrown the rest of them away.

Some phones are intended only for NiCd batteries, and the charging current might well be too high bearing in mind it is a CONTINUOUS charge that most phone bases give, unlike more "intelligent" purpose made battery chargers!

I replaced the original 700mAh NiMH with the 1000mAh NiMH batteries so there's no reason why they should overheat.

I can fully understand Zaxxan, that's why I went for the the far more expensive Sanyo Eneloops, sold by 7dayshop on amazon for £6.79 for a pack of 4.
Yes the unit price is way more expensive, but I expect them to last few times more than any other batteries in the market. Still I value my gadgets more than the battery!

The Maplin ones are rubbish in my experience. I bought a pack a few months ago, they lasted in my wireless mouse for about 2 days. I took them back to the shop who were extremely unhelpful but swapped them for some more which turned out to be just as bad.
I use them in a small radio now and they stay charged for about 2 weeks, just avoid them.

Voted cold for caps abuse

I bought a pack of these in AA a few months ago but had to take them back because the button (aka nipple) at the end was too short for them to work (at least in Wiimotes).

Will theyube the same price in-store?
Thanks
