Great set and fits nicely in the dish washer
Heavy and ugly crockery in Argos . Cold . Much better , smoother, lighter and cheaper in Ikea. Just visit Ikea and see for yourself. Dont buy this coarse and ugly set before looking at the competition.

I had a look around ikea. The cheapest set spotted was £9.00 so not cheaper.

IMO the shape of the bowl is much better and accessible than say a Wilko set bowl, which I find heavy and absorbs microwave power and has a narrow upper bit.
Will have a look at Argos.

I'm sure this was previously around the £5-6 Mark a few months ago posted on here which made it even better value. But even at this price not bad for a everyday value set
Great set especially if you have accident prone kids . The dinner plates a larger than a side plate but smaller than a standard dinner plate but great if you're trying to eat smaller meals or have kids.
Personally not for me. Dinner plates are 32cm not 23cm. Too big for my microwave.
perfect for me~

We have this set following a previous UKHD deal offering them at £5.

£5 or £7.99 is a great price but the dinner plates as stated above are more like side plates and not really big enough for an adult main meal. The bowls are also extremely shallow and almost unusable for cereal and milk.

There is a similar set at Wilko for cheaper that has deep bowls and slightly bigger dinner plates which I've not bought but looks more practical. wilko.com/en-…286

We have a couple of these for when we have lots of people over, not great for everyday use the dinner plates are an odd size halfway between side and a dinner plate - never get a roast on there - tend to use for sandwiches and the kids.

I like that the bowls are more bowly!
this or the widely praised Wilko set?
I have this set and use it with another set.

The bowls are shallow - great for noodles or pasta but not so good for cereal.
The dinner plates are small and are perfect for those who like smaller portions (contrary to an above commentator they are 23cm)
Side plates are standard.
The plates are light-weight (again contrary to an above commentator who says they are heavy), simple white that look neither expensive nor cheap, they can chip easily if your not careful taking them out of the dishwasher. Not amazing quality but fine if you are looking for a basic set with smaller plates.

I like that you used the word bowly

If you have an IKEA near you, I'd recommend their OFTAST
range of plates and bowls over these chunky argos sets any day of the week.

They're all only 50p each, dinner plates are 25cm diameter, but also a lot lighter, thinner, and stack well using less room as they're made from tempered glass, also easy and cheap enough to replace if any get broken.

Last time I was in store, any 12 bowls or plates were £4.80 (40p each).

We need a second set for when our 'premium' set runs out and only half fills the dishwasher... This sounds like the way to go, thanks!
