and no I'm not connected to Valentino's in any way. This is the cheapest pizza I have seen in Bradford and I thought I'd share it. If anyone knows a cheaper place in Bradford, please post details.
bit too far away for me, over in Wales!
For interest - what is Halal? something about animals killed in a certain way, and then the blood drained? Religious or cultural? Is kosher something similar?
The link takes you to an Italian restaurant in Bingley, Bradford and not the take-away in Bradford

Why is it every time someone posts something about halal, everyone crawls out of the woodwork and starts kicking off about it? The post doesn't suggest you revert to Islam or anything. If you don't want to eat it then don't eat it. If you think it's a cold deal then vote it cold. What's the big deal?

I don't agree with some of the labour conditions in India but if someone posted about a cheap jumper on sale at Primark that had been made in India, I wouldn't start posting comments about exploitative Indian manufacturers.

The majority of people I know that disagree with halal meat, do so because deep down the have a distrust or dislike of muslims. If I posted a deal on cheap Isreali oranges would there be an outcry of posts slamming land repossessions and human rights violations in the occupied territories? Doubt it very much.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion , some feel really strongly about it. Each to their own.

guess the lack of knowledge is a 'sheep thing'
don't, whatever you do, type HALAL into Youtube..... i'm going to have to go veggie now.
People tend to have a dig at halal meat just to have a dig at Islam. These are the same hypocrites that enjoy a nice halal kebab on a Friday night with no reservations. Most people don't know what halal meat is yet decide to have an opinion with out any knowledge. I posted some links earlier that are useful and worth having a read.

You have a point, but this particularly cruel and nasty method of killing animals is happening right here on our very doorsteps, not somewhere with such a geographical and emotional distance as India - the fact that so many people jump up in disgust when Hallal is mentioned on these boards is really indicative of how strongly people feel against this pervasive practice that's seeping through Britain.
I can't help but think this won't benefit anyone on here!

You can get a pizza with any toppings for less in a supermarket

In all honesty this looks like self promotion!

I would be interested to know which form of animal slaughter the members … I would be interested to know which form of animal slaughter the members recommend.Personally don't approve of Halal but my view is that certain members act as agent provocateurs on this site and recommend Halal deals just to get the racists that share their own views posting

The quickest possible and humane way which is definately NOT this method.

Then why isn't there the same 'jumping up in disgust' when kosher meat, which is produced in a near identical method to halal meat, is mentioned?
Well at a guess... there's a larger muslim population in the UK than Jewish, so there are far more places selling / advertising halal, and also, relatedly, halal deals are posted on here much more frequently too. This would bring the whole issues / facts / views on halal much more into the public limelight than kosher, hence more people knowing about it and voicing an opinion on it?

For anyone interested: a BBC report from 2003:

The Farm Animal Welfare Council (FAWC), which advises the government on … The Farm Animal Welfare Council (FAWC), which advises the government on how to avoid cruelty to livestock, says the way Kosher and Halal meat is produced causes severe suffering to animals.... FAWC said it wanted an end to the exemption currently allowed for Kosher and Halal meat from the legal requirement to stun animals first. It says cattle can take up to two minutes to bleed to death - amounting to an abuse of the animals."This is a major incision into the animal and to say that it doesn't suffer is quite ridiculous," said FAWC chairwoman, Dr Judy MacArthur Clark.

And for anyone who seems to be suggesting that you must be racist if you publicly speak out against halal, that is ridiculous. I think kosher (thanks HappyShopper) is equally distasteful, and you'll also find me often speaking as part of the 'anti battery-hen brigade', (BRITISH/ European animal cruelty!) which a lot of people disagree with me about. However, this deal post clearly mentions halal, so the other practices mentioned are clearly irrelevant. (_;)
