not 2 bad

Guaranteed to be used once before its consigned to the garage with the Soda Stream, Breadmaker, Chocolate fountain etc etc.

And not forgetting that Candyfloss maker!!

and the popcorn and ice cream maker lol

reserved one lol

let me know if its any good, the waffle machine i have is naff!

had one of these, used it once and its now gathering dust. nothing wrong with it, but jam filled donuts from the shops are tastier & easier.

Agree - there is a reason why these items fall dramatically in price once the 'wow' factor wears thin!

Like those chocolate fountains that discount stores cant shift for £6-7!

cheats doughnuts, make jam sandwiches cut off crusts, cut into triangles and dip into a batter mix and deep fry, yum :-D cheap and cheerful

anyone know the recipe they advise?

Got to be a cheap way of keeping kids entertained for an hour or so, surely? You won't feel so bad if it never gets used that way either! This one (or similar) was on offer before and I very nearly bought one for fun

I bought the simpsons version last year - and I have used it several times! The kids love making donuts and there are different recipies to try, like choc or cinnamon versions. We like making the plain ones and dipping them in melted chocolate!

Well worth the money IMO :santa:

Thanks ordered

Don't buy this! the donunts are f* ****. We've tried lots of recipies and all taste unpleasent!

Like people are saying, the do-nuts are not the best ever, but they are OK. More importantly, the kids love to make these, they have loads of fun together- supervised of course, because it gets fairly hot. I think the fun of mixing the batter and rising it into a little ring is more important than the end product for the kids.

these 'donuts' taste like ****! save your money and make pancakes or something

there is no need to swear this is a family site and this item seems to be of interest to kids going by the posts made

I do think that you should buy this at the same time to help burn off the calories!

Voted cold because the doughnuts from these are just god awful

The reason why doughnuts taste so good is because they are deep fried, i can only imagine that the doughnuts this thing makes are as unappetising as most people are saying on here.
Also doughnuts are so cheap, about 10p each in the supermarkets.

Why would anyone want this ?

Yes, batter.

I had one of these and can vouch for everyone else's comments on here that they taste really manky. Also they never look quite right either. Used once, cleaned and in loft, anyone wants it they are welcome to it.

Yes, the real thing has loads of sugar and is deep fried in oil too.

If you make them yourself then you can use less sugar or sugar substitute if you want. Or leave the sugar off the outside.

Personally, I don't like donuts either from these makers or from the shops, but as I said they are great as a (supervised) fun toy for kids. I don't think they are intended as serious cooking equipment, they are a toy.

Some cheaper shop donuts are also baked before being basted and dipped in sugar.
